Meatloaf Recipe - SORTED
This dish is a family favourite all over the world, but isn't eaten much in the UK... So we had to ask for your help in getting the perfect recipe, and you excelled yourselves!
A combination of pork and beef cooked in a casing of bacon with the flavours of apple, walnut and blue cheese makes this a dish to be proud of. You'll be wanting to make this asap, especially when you see the egg in the middle!!

A Christian Witch's Kitchen: Meatloaf Made Magic
Hey, everyone!
Here's this week's meal, an American classic: meatloaf! It's the thing that often gets goofed on for being a dinnertime flop, but with the right ingredients (and a nice bit of magic), it comes out so good. Tender, flavorful, and super hearty.
As always, recipe cards attached, and a blog with a little more discussion here:
Ingredients:
-2lb ground beef
-1 medium onion, diced
-4 cloves garlic, minced
-1 egg
-1 cup breadcrumbs
-1 1/2 Tbsp mustard seed
-2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
-1 Tbsp curry powder
-1 1/2 Tbsp paprika
-Salt & Pepper to taste
-A jar of tomato sauce (I used Bertoli's tomato & basil)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Add your beef into a bowl.
3. Chop your onion & garlic, then add to beef.
4. Add your egg, seasonings, & bread crumbs, then mix until well combined.
5. Take a baking tray, line it with parchment, and create two loaves of the meat mixture.
6. Top with tomato sauce, making sure to cover the whole meatloaf, and bake for 60min.
7. Remove, let cool, slice, and serve alongside mashed potatoes & veggies!
