How To make Kohl's Chocolate Sheath Cake
1/2 ts Cinnamon
2 c Sugar
2 c Flour
1 t Baking soda
1 Stick oleo
1/2 c Crisco shortening
2 tb Cocoa
1 c Water
1/2 c Buttermilk
2 Eggs
1 t Vanilla
NOTE: Requires a 16 x 11 x 1 or 11 x 17 x 1 pan. Sift together: Cinnamon, sugar, flour, and baking soda. Bring to boil: Oleo, Crisco, cocoa, and water. Pour over the flour mixture. Mix well, then add buttermilk, eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Pour into a well greased shallow pan (see note). Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven until a toothpick comes out clean. You'll have to test this according to your oven, then add the time required to this recipe. Frost the hot cake with chocolate frosting & top with nuts. Today's video is extra special to me because Maria and I spent time together in the kitchen. Preparing food is my love language and nothing beats doing that with a 6 year old.
Rippled Coffee Cake
1 yellow box cake mix
1 cup sour cream
4 eggs
2/3 cup vegetable oil
Mix until smooth with electric beater. Pour half into greased 9x13 pan. Then sprinkle on 3/4 c. brown sugar and 1 Tbsp. cinnamon (you can mix them together first, but we don't). Spread remaining batter on top all the way to the edges. Bake for 30-35 minutes in a 350 degree oven (25 degrees less for glass or dark pan). Cool for 5-15 minutes, then pour over glaze.
Glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 2 T. milk or cream
