How To make Irish Whiskey Pie
1 Baked graham cracker crumb
-crust Cooled
10 inch size 5 Egg yolks
3/4 c Sugar
1 Gelatin
1/4 c Cold water
1/2 c Irish whiskey
1 1/2 c Heavy cream
2 tb Shaved chocolate; (optional)
Beat egg yolks until they are thick and lemon colored. Slowly beat in the sugar Soften gelatin in water and then add 1/4 cup Irish Whiskey Heat over boiling water until gelatin dessolves. Add gelatin mixture into the egg yolks stirring quickly. Pour in the remaining Irish Whiskey. Mix Well Whip cream and add 1 cup to mixture. Pour filling into pie shell and chill. When the filling is set, decorate with a border of the remaining whipped cream and sprinkle shaved chocolate over the center. I tint the whipped cream alittle green Enjoy. :

1930 Irish Cocktail - Glen and Friends Cocktails After Dark
Today we do a prohibition era Irish Whiskey cocktail.
IRISH
2 parts Irish Whisky
1 part Italian Vermouth
2 dashes Acid Phosphate per cocktail
3 dashes Orange Bitters per cocktail
Squeeze a piece of lemon peel on top and serve with an olive.
Now for everyone who is about to leave a comment that Irish Whiskey is spelled with an 'e' and that I've spelled it incorrectly in the recipe... I've used the spelling that appears in the cocktail book. In the pre-ww2 era the spelling of the word whiskey / whisky wasn't as written in stone as most people would now think. Labels from almost every country could be found with both spellings - and even today many brands in the USA will use both spellings of the word.
