Hello and welcome back to In the Kitchen with Matt, I am your host Matt Taylor. Continuing on with our Popsicle theme, I am going to show you how to make strawberry frozen yogurt popsicles. Yummy! These frozen yogurt pops are so easy to do and they are very versatile, you can switch out the yogurt, you can switch out the fruit, whatever you want to do, let’s get started. All right first we take a food processor, if you don’t have one I will put a link down below where you can pick one up, I really love food processors, and if you don’t want to buy one you can just umm, mash up your strawberries a different way, like with a knife or however you want to do that, um so then we take one pound of strawberries, I just washed and sliced these, let’s go ahead and put those in there. And then let’s just go ahead put on our top here, lock it down, and pulse it. Oh about like that, just a few seconds, and then to add a little bit more sweetness, I am going to add some honey. Now I am just going to add about a tablespoon of honey, and you can add more or less if you want. All right and now we need some kind of mold. I got these Popsicle molds, I really like them, I will put a link down below where you can pick them up, now we just fill up our molds. And uh, the way I like to do this, is I like to come in here and start with the strawberry puree, and I just put it in a bowl, normally I would leave it in the food processor container. I am going to put some on the bottom first, like that. Then I am going to come in here to my yogurt, I have 12 ounces of yogurt. I just got two of those little 6-ounce things of yogurt, strawberry yogurt, and put them in here. Get some yogurt and we will fill it up. And now if you are lactose intolerant, and you don’t want to make frozen yogurt pops, go ahead and skip the yogurt and just use this strawberry puree completely, and it tastes amazing. So about like that, and then I am going to cap it off again with some strawberry puree here. And then I will leave a little bit of space, just so it can expand a little bit when it freezes. And then we will put the top on, just like that, really really easy. Now you can have fun with it, like I said earlier you can switch out the yogurt with different flavors, switch out the puree and make your own puree. All right another thing I like to do, once I make a variety of those, is I will just take the rest of my puree here, and pour it in, and just go ahead and mix it all up. And this also makes a really great sauce that you can put on like pancakes, or waffles, if you want, kind of a strawberry or yogurt flavor. All right so it is all mixed together like that, And then I will go ahead and fill this one up. And this is going to make enough for about 8 to 10 of these, I have a couple of other molds that I will just use for the rest of this, or you can just use it as a sauce, like I said for breakfast or something. All right once we have them all filled up, let’s go ahead and put them in the freezer and let them freeze for at least four hours, but over night is better. After they are frozen, go ahead and run some water on the outside, warm water, and that will help loosen it from the mold, go ahead and take it out.
