How to make Best Homemade HUMMUS in 10 Minutes! Quick and Easy Hummus. Recipe by Always Yummy!
Hummus is a traditional dish from Middle Eastern cuisine, made from boiled or canned chickpeas. This dish is a popular appetizer or dip and has a rich flavor and smooth texture.
One of the most appealing features of hummus is its simplicity to prepare. It requires just a few basic ingredients and a little bit of your time. You simply mix the chickpeas with the other ingredients, blend them together until smooth, and your hummus is ready!
Hummus is also a nutritious and wholesome dish. Chickpeas, the main ingredient in hummus, are rich in protein, fiber, iron, and other essential nutrients. The addition of tahini, which is used in hummus, provides healthy fats and vitamins. Moreover, hummus is a vegetarian and vegan-friendly dish.
Hummus is versatile in its usage. You can serve it as a dip with pita bread, boiled eggs, vegetables, or crackers. It also pairs well with salads, side dishes, and main courses. Try adding hummus to burgers, sandwiches, shawarma, or use it as a dressing for salads.

✅ Ingredients:
• Cooked chickpeas - 1 can (15 oz | 300 g)
• Aquafaba (chickpeas liquid) - ½ cup (or 100-115 ml)
• Tahini - ⅔ cup | 150 ml
• Olive oil - ¼ cup | 60 ml
• Lemon juice - ⅛ cup | 30 ml
• Cooking oil - ½ tbsp
• Garlic- 2 cloves
• Ground cumin - ⅔ tsp
• Salt - ½ tsp
• Cold water - 1-5 tbsp, or as needed to blend
✅ You will need:
• Mixer or blender
• Pan
???? Preparation:
1. Heat a pan over medium heat, add ½ tbsp vegetable oil, and fry 2 cloves of garlic for 1 minute on each side until golden brown.
2. In a blender jar, add 15 oz | 300 g of canned chickpeas, ½ cup or 100 ml of chickpea liquid, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, fried garlic cloves, ½ tsp of salt, and ⅔ tsp of cumin. Blend until smooth and creamy. If the hummus is too thick, add 10-50 ml of cold water.
3. Serve the hummus drizzled with olive oil, fresh parsley leaves, sumac or dried paprika on top, along with pita bread, flatbreads, fresh diced onions, and boiled eggs. Enjoy your meal!
❗️Advices
1. Fresh garlic can be used, reducing the quantity.
2. Tahini can be replaced with sesame paste, and if needed, add water to achieve the desired hummus consistency.
3. If you have a small amount of liquid from canned chickpeas, add cold water.
4. Keep a few whole chickpeas aside for garnishing the final dish.
