We were inspired by Gaby from What's Gaby Cooking when she made a delicious Herby Goat Cheese Pizza in the Fontana Marinara Wood Fired Oven. It looked SO incredibly delicious we just had to try it with what we had on hand in our kitchen! Oh my goodness, it did not disappoint! This pizza is a definite must try with the savory creaminess of the cheese, a hint of sweetness from the balsamic vinegar and the richness of the pesto and sun-dried tomatoes. ❉ About this Caramelized Onion And Goat Cheese Pizza Recipe
In this video from Food Talks, you will learn how to make goat cheese caramelized onion pizza, with pears! It's a delicious flavor combination, getting saltiness from the goat cheese and sweet from the caramelized onion and pear. We cook this pizza in our Roccbox pizza oven but you can also cook it in the conventional oven on a pizza stone/steel.
Instructions for conventional oven:
Preheat your pizza stone at least 1 hour before cooking the pizza, at maximum temperature your oven can reach. Launch the pizza on the hot stone on the top grill of the oven, and cook for 4-5 minutes or until the dough is ccoked through and golden, and the toppings are sizzling gently.

Ingredients:
250g pizza dough (Full recipe here➡️
goat cheese, to taste
olive oil
1 big onion, sliced
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp honey
1 pear, sliced
Instructions:
1. Heat oil and fry onion for 5 minutes on medium heat until it softens and starts to brown. Add 1/2 cup water and let the onion simmer gently until water evaporates (medium-low fire). Add more water to let the onion cook longer without burning.
2. After about 15-20 minutes, the onions should be very soft. Add the balsamic vinegar and honey, and let it simmer on low heat for another 2 minutes, just to evaporate some liquid. Set aside.
3. Stretch pizza dough with your hands.
4. Spread the onions as a base, put the pears as a middle layer and top with goat cheese.
5. Cook in the pizza oven for 60-90 seconds at full flame.

Anyone can make pizza from scratch using our simple and delicious recipe for Spinach and Goat’s Cheese Pizza. Pizza dough can be surprisingly simple and our dough uses only 4 ingredients, you can’t say easier than that! The combination of spinach and goat’s cheese for the topping works really well and creates a flavoursome meal. This pizza is the perfect size to create a single person pizza, so to serve more people, just increase the numbers of pizzas you make, then you can give each person their own, whole pizza!
This recipe uses Mellow Yellow Rapeseed Oil which is low in saturated fat and high in Omega 3, making this recipe ideal for a healthy and balanced diet.
