vlog | my first ever Christmas wreath
Hello everyone,
This week, I made my first ever Christmas wreath following a tutorial from Holt Renfrew Ogilvy & Fauchois Fleurs! They kindly gifted me all the material needed along with a quick how-to video :)
I also baked some blueberry muffins and went a little crazy with the blueberries hehe.
Here’s the recipe if you’d like to make some!
Ingredients:
-2 cups all-purpose flour
-2 teaspoons baking powder
-a pinch of salt
-1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
-1 cup sugar
-2 eggs
-1 and 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
-1/2 cup milk
-3 cups frozen blueberries
Instructions:
-Preheat the oven at 375°F and line your muffin tin with paper liners. Spray the pan and liners with non-stick cooking spray.
-in a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder & salt. In another bowl, using an electric mixer, beat the butter and sugar for about 2 minutes. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Add in the vanilla extract and mix well.
-gradually add in the flour mixture and milk, alternating each time, until everything is nice and well mixed.
Add in the blueberries, mixing gently.
-use two spoons to pour into your tin cups and bake in the over for about 30 minutes.
Leave it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to cool out completely.
Enjoy xx

*Adjust the time & temperature depending on the oven and the size of your cookies.
* Chill all the cookie dough in a fridge (preferably freezer) until right before baking so that cookies can hold nice shapes.

*Ingredients* :
2x 8oz of refrigerated crescent rolls (8 count each - total 16) ????
4-6oz chive-and-onion cream cheese spread ????
2-4 slices of bacon ???? (replace bacon with thinly sliced seitan for a meat-free version)
• 10oz frozen broccoli florets bag (thawed) ????
• 1 (red) bell pepper ????
• 1 egg ????
• salt & pepper ????
_optional_ :
• crushed red pepper flakes
• sesame seed
*Detailed Instructions* :
1. Preheat oven to 375°F / 190°C
2. Cook bacon on frying pan for 3-4min each side or until it reaches your desired level of crispiness. Finely chop. ????
3. Finely dice the red bell pepper. ????
4. Rinse and dry the thawed broccoli florets with paper towel. Generously cut the stems and finely chop the heads. ????
5. Prepare parchment paper on a cookie sheet. Unroll both Crescent Rolls cans and separate them into 16 triangles while forming a sun/flower. Meaning, arrange triangle with pointy side facing outward while leaving a open round circle in the middle like shown in the video. ????
6. Spread the cream cheese onto the crescent rolls. ????
7. Spread the bacon, red bell pepper and broccoli onto the crescent rolls along the inner part of the circle
8. Season: salt, pepper (optional: crushed red pepper flakes) ????
9. Pull all pointy ends of crescent rolls over the mixture and tuck it in like shown in the video.
10. Generously brush 1 beaten egg over the dough (optional: add sesame seeds) ????
11. Bake (375°F/190°C) in oven for about 25min on the middle rack until the dough looks golden.
???? *Tip* :
If dough is looking too golden/brown after already 10-15min, cover sides with alu foil while leaving the middle part open and put back in oven to bake for rest of the 25min. Refer to the video.
Let the wreath cool for 2-3min before serving.
Enjoy ????
