10 ea SLICES WHITE brEAD
IN A SHALLOW BOWL, COMBINE EGG BEATERS, MILK, CINNAMON AND VANILLA. IN A NON-STICK SKILLET, OVER MEDIUM HEAT, MELT TWO TEASPOONS MARGARINE. DIP brEAD IN EGG BEATERS MIXTURE TO COAT BOTH SIDES. trANSFER TO SKILLET AND COOK FOR 3 MINUTES ON EACH SIDE. REPEAT WITH REMAINING MARGARINE AND brEAD. SERVE WITH MAPLE SYRUP OR CONFECTIONERS SUGAR. Bacon Egg and Cheese, Savory French Toast
Bacon, Egg and Cheese, FRENCH TOAST, with Spicy Maple Syrup. Recipe below (makes 8)????????????
INGREDIENTS
8 slices of thick cut Texas toast
8 slices of cheese
8 slices of bacon
1/4 cup of mayonnaise
5 beaten eggs or 2 cups of egg beaters
1/4 cup chopped chives
1/4 cup your favorite hot sauce
1 tbsp of each of the following, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika
Season with salt and pepper
For the Spiy Maple Syrup
1/2 cup your favorite maple syrup
2 tbsp hot sauce
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
Step 1
Slice the crust off the thick cut bread and then slice it in half.
Step 2
Evenly spread the mayonnaise onto each piece of bread, this is going to help secure the bacon and cheese
Step 3
Place a half slice of cheese on each piece of bread, followed by a slice of cooked bacon cut in half. Then place the other piece of bread on top
Step 4
Combine the eggs, hot sauce, seasonings, and chives in a bowl and then dunk the bacon and cheese sandwich in it, making sure it’s fully coated and submerged.
Step 5
Place the soaked french toast sandwiches, on a medium high skillet and cook for about 2 minutes per side.
Step 6
To make the spicy sauce, combine all the ingredients listed and don’t forget to #neverskipeggday
Low Calorie French Toast!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup Greek yogurt (50 calories)
1/2 cup Blueberries (40 calories)
4 Slices Delightfully 45 Bread (180 calories)
6 tbsp egg beaters (50 calories)
1 tsp vanilla
1.5 tbsp cinnamon
syrup of choice
zero calorie sweetner
Total Calories: 320
In a bowl mix together egg, cinnamon, vanilla and sweetener. Dip bread into egg mixture and place in preheated pan. Cook thoroughly on each side.
In a separate pan cook blueberries till softened.
( you can add some sweetener to the Blueberries here if you wish)
Top toast with yogurt, Blueberries and your choice of syrup.
