How to make Franks and Beans | Quick and Easy
This is a very simple video today, how to make franks and beans. Quick and easy. This is one of our favorites for a busy weeknight. The main thing is to use good quality franks and baked beans.
You could add sautéed onions if you like, maybe a little mustard. We love them just like this.
Ingredients:
1 28 oz can of a good baked bean
1 package of a good beef hot dog, I prefer Hebrew National bun length
I get a lot of people asking where they can get certain things that I use in my videos, so I created a Tom's Test Kitchen store on Amazon. You will find everything I could think of that I've used in one way or another in previous videos. Please take a look around, I hope you find what you're looking for, if not just ask. Thanks!

Slow Cooker Franks and Beans
Baked beans are a year-round staple for us and, while we love trying out different types, throwing in chorizo or hot dogs is our absolute favorite way to enjoy them. Here, we’ve perfected the spicy, smoky flavor and come up with a way to make this dish easily in the slow cooker; now you don’t have to wait around while the beans cook in the oven – all you have to do is throw everything in together and turn on the power! We’re telling you, it doesn’t get any better than this, so check these bad boys out!
This recipe is seriously such a breeze to pull together, it makes for the perfect choice when you have friends over. Use the oven for whatever bigger dishes you're making, but free up space with this slow cooker recipe...anytime we make it, it gets devoured, so you really can't go wrong!

Canning Beans & Franks (aka Beanie Weenies)...no soak method
Welcome to Fyreflye’s Follies!
If you enjoy today’s video, please don’t forget to give me a thumbs-up! If you enjoy videos featuring canning and (mostly) southern cooking, I hope you will subscribe!
In Today’s video, I will show you how I can Copycat Beanie Weenies for shelf-stable storage.
Not everything I do is USDA/FDA approved. Canning dry beans using the “no-soak” method is NOT FDA/USDA approved. I believe in “MY KITCHEN, MY RULES” and I do not think untested necessarily means unsafe. If you are someone who only does things by the book, then this video may not be for you. It works for me.
I am not telling anyone that this is the way it should be done. I am only sharing with you how I do it in my kitchen. I have done my research and I am comfortable with doing it this way. I strongly encourage you to do the research and do what works for you. The National Center for Home Food Preservation is a great resource, as well as the Ball website. I have left a link below. There are also several groups on Facebook and lots of videos on YouTube to help you get started and find information.
Feel free to leave a comment below. If you have a question, I will try to answer it or help you find a resource to get an answer from.
