How To make Flank Steak Teriyaki
2 pounds beef flank steak
6 slices canned juice -pack pineapple
1/2 cup pineapple juice from canned pineapple
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 tablespoon dry sherry
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 chicken boullion cubes
1 1/2 cups boiling water
1 cup raw long-grain converted rice
serves 6
Roll flank steak, tie and cut into 5 individual steaks. In shallow bowl, stir together pineapple juice, soy sauce, ginger, sherry, sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Marinate steaks about 1 hour in soy mixture at room temperature. Disso lve bouillon cubes in boiling water; combine with rice and 1/2 cup of soy mixtu re in Crock-Pot. top each steak with a pineapple ring, then place in Crock-Pot . Cover and cook on Low for 8 to 10 hours or on High for 3 to 4 hours.

Instant Pot Teriyaki Flank Steak
Right out of the Instant Pot, this braised steak tastes like good, satisfying teriyaki. It's got lots of onions, garlic, ginger, and mushrooms, plus the classic taste of one of our favorite sauces. Here's a tip: the recipe will be significantly improved if you up your soy sauce game. Look for better bottlings in the Asian aisle of North American supermarkets or at Asian markets anywhere.
Don't pull of shred the flank steak. Instead, cut it into chunks after cooking for that the dish is still a knife-and-fork affair at the table.
If you want a bigger meal, serve it over cooked and drained soba noodles--and garnish the servings with more toasted sesame oil or even white sesame seeds and minced scallion.
Here are the ingredients:
2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil or peanut oil
One 2- (or even 2 1/2-) pound beef flank steak, cut in half widthwise
I medium yellow or white onion, roughly chopped; or 10 medium scallions, trimmed and cut into 2-inch segments
8 ounces shiitake mushrooms, the stems removed and discarded, the caps thinly sliced
2 tablespoons minced peeled fresh ginger
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 1/2 cups beef or chicken broth
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
4 medium carrots, peeled and cut into 1-inch segments; or 1 pound baby carrots
