2 c Crab meat [flaked] 1 c Mayonnaise 4 Egg whites [stiffly beaten] 1/4 ts Salt 1/8 ts Pepper 1/2 Bread crumbs 1) Mix the crab meat and the mayonnaise in a bowl, then fold in the egg whites, salt & pepper... 2) Pour into a greased baking dish, and sprinkle with the bread crumbs... 3) Bake in a 350? oven for for 45 min.

This Crab Imperial recipe is a delicious, easy seafood dish and one of my all-time favorite recipes worthy of special occasions. Serve it in a large bowl or individual ramekins as a side or main entrée. Don’t forget baguette slices to mop up any leftovers on the plate!

CRAB IMPERIAL INGREDIENTS: o 2 tablespoons shallots , minced o 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard o 1 tablespoon flat parsley , minced o 2 tablespoons lemon juice o 1 teaspoon lemon zest o 1 garlic clove , grated o 1/2 cup mayonnaise o 2 pounds lump blue crab meat , or blend of jumbo lump crab meat o 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons bread crumbs , divided o 1/2 teaspoon coarse sea salt or kosher salt o 1/2 cup beurre blanc sauce , optional

Crab Imperial
16 ounces lump crab 2 tablespoons parsley Set aside
Sauce 1 1/2 cups mayonnaise 1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1/2 teaspoon pepper 2 tablespoons lemon juice 1 tablespoon celery salt Add 2/3 of the mixture to the crab. Toss gently Place in baking dish top with remaining sauce. Sprinkle with paprika

Crab Imperial, Chef Frank shows you how to make this old school Maryland classic.
INGREDIENTS....makes 3 servings 1lb. Blue crabmeat 1 1/2 cups mayo 1 tsp celery salt 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice 1 1/2 tbsp Dijon mustard 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce 1/2 tsp black pepper 2 tbsp minced fresh parsley
Recipe 1. Drain crabmeat but gently squeezing out all excess liquid. 2. In large bowl combine mayo, celery salt, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper. 3. Place crabmeat and parsley in a separate large bowl. 4. Start by adding 2/3 cup imperial mix to crab and parsley. Add enough imperial mix to coat the crabmeat. This mixture should be wet but not soupy. 5. Put crab imperial in casserole dish. DO NOT pack tightly. 6. Cover your crab imperial with moderate layer of the remaining imperial sauce. 7. Sprinkle with paprika. 8. Bake at 400 for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
