How To make Easy, Excellent Bbq Spareribs
Pork Spareribs Cavender's Greek Seasoning Favorite BBQ Sauce
These BBQ spareribs are excellent and very easy to make. These directions look lengthy, but there are only 3 steps and each step takes just a few minutes and may be done over the course of two days (In fact, they must be started one day before serving). STEP ONE: Preheat broiler (or a hot oven). Rinse off racks of ribs and dry well. Sprinkle liberally with Cavender's Greek Seasoning. If you have time, let them sit for about an hour. Place in broiler to brown slighty. This also allow the excess fat to cook off. Turn and brown other side. STEP TWO: Place racks of ribs in a crockpot. Place them standing up. You can lean the racks against each other to hold them up or use skewers. Only the very end of each rack should be resting on the bottom of the crockpot. They should not be touching the sides of the crockpot, if possible. Cook in crockpot on low for about 8 hours. The meat should be very tender, almost falling off the bone. Very carefully remove the racks of ribs and place on a large flat platter. Cover and refrigerate until completely cold (overnight is fine). They will firm up during this chilling process. STEP THREE: When ready to serve, baste ribs with barbeque sauce and heat over a hot grill or in the oven, turning and basting with barbeque sauce. Cut into serving pieces and serve immediately.

An EASY spare rib recipe, cooked on the Pit Barrel Cooker! These ribs were a perfect treat on a hot summer day! This is part of my ExMark Outdoor Living Series: . Check out the site to find not only great recipes but videos on EVERYTHING OUTDOORS! Here is the recipe for my ribs.
Mango Pineapple Ginger Glazed Pork Spare Ribs
Ingredients:
2 racks pork spare ribs, St Louis trimmed
Glaze:
9.5 ounces mango pineapple preserves (substitute any tropical preserve)
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon fish sauce (enhances flavors)
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon chopped and seeded Fresno (or Thai) chili
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
½ cup ginger beer
Directions:
Mix ingredients for glaze in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat.
Reduce to low heat and simmer 20-30 minutes, until glaze reaches the consistency of warm honey.
Remove membrane from the back of the ribs and trim off loose ends and excess fat, then season both sides of ribs with kosher salt and ground black pepper.
If using a Pit Barrel Cooker, hang ribs in the pre-heated pit and add a small handful of hickory chips.
If using a conventional cooker, place ribs in pit pre-heated to 250ºF.
If using PBC, remove ribs from the pit after about 3 hours and glaze both sides. Place ribs back in the cooker and allow the glaze to set for 20-30 minutes in the pit.
In a conventional cooker, remove ribs once they are probe tender and meat is pulling back from the bones. Glaze and place back on the pit for about 30 minutes.
After ribs are done, allow them to rest 10-15 minutes before slicing.

Making great homemade bbq ribs shouldn't be limited to the smokehouse homies. While a smoker really makes for a perfect rack of ribs, we can get a product that is nearly as good in its own way using this method. And obviously, the cold smoker device IS OPTIONAL.
