How To make Curried Shrimp Toasts
1 tb Peanut oil
1/2 lb Uncooked medium shrimp;
2 1/2 ts Curry powder
1/4 c Mango chutney
1 ts Soy sauce
1/4 c Mayonnaise
1 tb Mayonnaise
-peeled, deveined 1 Medium onion; chopped
1 Small yellow or red bell
-pepper, chopped 1 Small tomato; seeded, choppe
1 French bread baguette; slice
Heat oil in heavy medium skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp and 1/2 teaspoon curry. Saute until shrimp are just cooked, about 2 minutes. Using slotted spoon, transfer shrimp to bowl; cool. Add onion, bell pepper and remaining 2 teaspoons curry to skillet. Saute until tender, about 10 minutes. Add chutney and soy sauce. Cook 1 minute. Set aside. Chop shrimp and return to bowl. Add vegetables and tomato. (Can be made 4 hours ahead. Cover and chill.) Add mayonnaise to shrimp mixture. Season with salt and pepper. Toast bread. Cool slightly. Top with shrimp. COMMENTS: Aboard the Sir Francis Drake (a 165 ft. sailing vessel), these delicious hors d'oeuvres are served with cocktails. 3 tbsp Mayonnaise
1 tbsp Chilli sauce ( hot or mild )
¼ tsp Chilli flakes or Japanese Shichimi chilli (Optional)
1 tsp Lime juice

It’s a fusion dish with a combination of Cantonese shrimp paste and Western sandwich bread. It is commonly found in dim sum and afternoon tea restaurants in Hong Kong.
Shrimp Toast Written Recipe:
Serving: 12 pieces
Prep time: 1 hour
Cook time: 10 minutes
For the sweet and sour dipping sauce:
1 cup water
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
3 tablespoons ketchup
5 tablespoons sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon cornstarch
3 tablespoons water
For the shrimp paste:
1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined, minced
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon cornstarch
2 egg whites
½ teaspoon minced ginger
5 tablespoons cilantro stems
For the bread:
6 slices sandwich bread
2 egg yolks, whisked
1 ½ cups breadcrumbs
4 cups avocado oil, for frying

The perfect snack for the perfect dinner party! Quick and easy recipe by Jean Patrique????#JPcooks
Cooking time: 25 minutes
Serves: 4
Ingredients
• 140g prawns
• 1tbs ginger
• 1 baguette
• 2tbs lemon juice
• 3tbs sesame oil
• Sesame Seeds
• 3tbs olive oil
• ½ tsp salt
• pepper
• butter
Instructions
• Place prawns in a bowl, add ginger, lemon juice, salt, sesame oil, olive oil, pepper, mix well and let marinate for 15 minutes.
• Slice the baguette diagonally into circa 1-2cm slices; spread the butter over the slices and place over a non-stick frying pan.
• Heat over medium heat for a few minutes until butter is melted.
• Remove the bread, place the prawns in the frying pan and cook until prawns turn pink.
• Finally, put the bread slices on a plate of choice, place some rocket salad on the slices, add the prawns and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

- 100 Gms Prawns (Deveined)
- 1/4 tsp Chilli Flakes
- 1/2 tsp Ginger (Minced)
- 1/2 tsp Garlic (Minced)
- 1/4 tsp Light Soy Sauce
- 1/4 tsp Fish Sauce
- Zest of 1 Lemon
- 1/8 tsp Salt
- 1/8 tsp Black Pepper Powder
- 1/2 Egg White
For Coating & Frying Prawn Bread :
- 2 Bread Slices (cut into 4 triangles)
- 1 1/2 tbsp Sesame Seeds (White & Black)
- Oil
