How To make Crockpot Grains
Ingredients
1/4
cup
millet, 1 1/2 oz, uncooked
1/4
cup
barley, 1 1/2 oz, uncooked
1/3
cup
brown rice, 2 oz, uncooked
1
cup
onions, chopped
1
cup
green bell pepper, chopped
1/2
cup
carrots, finely chopped
1
each
kidney beans, canned, drained
8
oz
tomato sauce
1
pound
tomatoes, canned, chopped, drained, reserve liquid
1 1/2
cup
corn, canned, drained or frozen
1
teaspoon
oregano, dried
1
teaspoon
basil, dried
1/2
teaspoon
garlic powder
1
salt, to taste
1
pepper, to taste
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a crockpot. Add water to reserved tomato liquid to equal 2 1/2 cups. Stir into grain mixture. Cover and cook on low setting 8 hours. Stir before serving.
Serves 8 as a side dish and 4 - 6 as a filling main course.
You can use any combination of grains. Just use about 1 cupful altogether.

This hearty and healthy lamb stew is delicious and beyond easy to make. Preparation takes less than 10 minutes. Once prepped everything goes into the slow cooker and you leave it alone for 4-6 hours other than the occasional stir.
