How To make Microwave Grains
1/3 Brown rice
1/3 Barley
1/3 Millet
I was bored with rice, so I mixed 1/3 brown rice, 1/3 barley, and 1/3 millet. Rinsed well, then put it in the microwave for ten minutes on high, and let it stand for a few hours. (I just put it in a big plastic bowl, and I didn't measure the water.) It was yummy underneath chili, beans, and spaghetti sauce. (3 different meals.) Source: apparent original Posted by "Aliza R. How to Cook Sticky Rice in Microwave | No Rice Cooker/Bamboo Steamer, No Problem!
Hello guys! It’s Pam :) Today let’s see how to cook sticky rice in the easiest way! We are going to use a microwave. Because I understand bamboo steamers might not be the easiest thing to find or maybe you don’t have a rice cooker at home because you might not cook rice that often.
But hey, there’re always the ways for those who really want to make/do something. Agree? ;)
So, what do wee need here?
- Sticky Rice (Glutinous Rice/Sweet Rice) 1 cup of rice grains is good for about 2 serves. So, as much as you want.
- Microwave-safe Tupperware or you can also put in a ceramic/glass bowl and use a plate as a lid.
- Water
Hmmm that’s it! This is by far the shortest list I’ve ever written :)
???? If you can’t get sticky rice from an Asian store in your area, it is available on Amazon ????

Whole wheat bread or wholemeal bread or Atta Bread is a type of bread made using flour that is partly or entirely milled from whole wheat grains. It has more iron, calcium, protein, and other nutrients than white flour or maida.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Ingredients:
1 cup warm milk
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp dry active yeast
2 to 3 tbsp milk powder (optional)
3 cup wheat flour or atta
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp oil or ghee or butter
100ml water (as required)
Instructions:
Setp 1: Take 1 cup warm milk in a large mixing bowl, add 2 tbsp sugar and 1 tbsp dry yeast & mix well. Rest for 10 - 12 mins, allow the yeast to activate.
Step 2: Add milk powder (optional) & mix well. Next add 3 cup wheat flour, 1 tsp salt and 2 tbsp oil. Mix until everything combined well. Add water if necessary and knead well (for about 15 min).
Step 3: Cover the bowl with cling wrap or moist cloth or by any other means and rest for 1.5 - 2 hours. When the dough will double in size, knock down the air inside & knead again to a cylindrical shape.
Step 4: Place the dough in a greased loaf pan (9 X 5 inch), cover and rest for 30 minutes or till dough rise just an inch above the loaf pan.
Step 5: Preheat the oven to 170 C. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes at the same temperature & settings or until the top of the bread turns slightly brown.
Step 6: Serve whole wheat bread or atta bread with jam or make your favourite sandwich & enjoy!
NOTE: 35°– 45°C is an ideal temperature for Active Dry Yeast

How to Cook Rice in the Microwave And Make It PERFECT EVERY TIME
This is my easy technique to cook rice in the microwave perfectly every time. No more mushy or dry rice. No more standing over the stove. No more burning the bottom of your rice. No more guessing whether you're doing it right. No more inconsistent results. This video will show you how to get it right every single time, and how to fix mistakes during the cooking process so your results are always consistent.
DIRECTIONS:
1. Always add water to about an inch above the rice
2. If you're cooking 1-2 cups of rice start by microwaving it for 10 minutes
3. If you're cooking 3-4 cups of rice start by microwaving it for 15 minutes
4. Pull rice from the microwave and ADD 1/2 - 3/4 cup more water
5. Stir with a fork to distribute moisture throughout the bowl.
6. Microwave again for 5-6 minutes
7. Add plastic wrap to the bowl of finished rice to steam
