1/2 c Sliced pitted ripe olives

In small bowl, with fork, mix crabmeat, cheese, mayonnaise, dry mustard, and 1/4 tsp. coarsely ground black pepper. Spread 1 heaping teaspoon crabmeat mixture on each Melba toast round. Place on cookie sheets; sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper. If not serving right away, cover and refrigerate. ABOUT 15 MINUTES BEFORE SERVING: Preheat broiler if manuafcturer directs. Broil canapes about 3 minutes or until cheese melts. Top each canape with a slice of ripe olive. Arrange canapes and garnish on platter; serve immediately Makes 2 1/2 dozen canapes.

Crab Snacks ~ Easy and delicious appetizer
Ingredients:
1 stick butter, softened
1 jar, Old English Cheese
1 1/2 tsp. mayonnaise
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
1/2 pound crabmeat
6 English Muffins
Split English Muffins in half and place on a sheet tray. Mix butter, cheese, mayonnaise, and salts in a bowl. Fold in crabmeat, careful not to break up into pieces.
Spread mixture evenly on muffins. Freeze for at least 30 minutes and cut into six pieces. Place pieces on tray and cook immediately (or put in freezer bag for later.)
Broil for 5 to 6 minutes until golden brown.

Crab Melt
1 pound Dungeness crab meat
½ cup diced plum tomatoes
¼ cup finely chopped scallions
Salt & pepper to taste
1 Tblsp butter
¼ cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
4 english muffins
Dijon mustard
Mayonnaise
Warm butter in a medium hot skillet, add your tomatoes, scallions then the crab. Warm the crab all the way but don’t
dry it out.
Toast the English muffins, put a whisper of mustard and a teaspoon or so of mayonnaise on each. Top with the warm
crab mixture then sprinkle with the cheeses.
Place on a ovenproof tray and then under the broiler to melt the cheese. Allow the cheeses to brown slightly then
serve with a green salad or your favorite soup.
