How To make Chunky Date, Coconut and Almond Granola
2 c Old-fashioned oats
3/4 c Whole almonds; halved
1/2 c Sweetened flaked coconut
1/2 c Raw cashews
1/3 c Firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 ts Ground allspice
1 ts Ground cinnamon
1/4 c Unsalted butter
2 tb Honey
1 c Packed pitted dates
each cut crosswise :
into thirds Preheat oven to 300 F. Mix first 7 ingredients in large bowl. Melt butter with honey in heavy small saucepan over low heat. Pour over granola mixture and toss well. Spread out mixture on cookie sheet. Bake 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add dates; mix to separate any clumps. Continue to bake until granola is golden brown, stirring frequently, about 15 minutes longer. Cool. (Can be made 2 weeks ahead. Store airtight at

What this dietitian eats for breakfast
My breakfast box for overnight oats!
As someone who struggles to make breakfast every morning, overnight oats are one of the easiest ways for me to get in a satisfying and delicious meal! I’ve tried many overnight oats recipes, but this is one of my favorites.
Overnight oats is typically made in a mason jar, but I often found it difficult to mix the ingredients together, especially when I used my small mason jar. Once I prepared my overnight oats in my snack box, I never looked back! Not only is it portable, but it’s also easier to mix and saves me time in the morning by allowing me to store toppings in the same container but separately from the oats. *Snack container listed on my Amazon storefront*
Recipe:
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1/4 c plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 3/4-1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup almond milk (or whichever milk you prefer!)
- Cinnamon
Topping:
- Diced apples
- Chopped pecans
- Drizzle of maple syrup

Honey Almond Granola Recipe
Ingredients:
2 cups old fashioned rolled oats
1/2 cup chopped almonds
1/2 cup unsalted sunflower seeds
1/4 cup honey
2 Tbsp coconut oil, melted
2 Tbsp flax seeds
2 Tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 175C.
2. Combine the oats, almonds, and sunflower seeds in a bowl.
Add the melted coconut oil and the honey. Mix well to completely coat the dry ingredients.
3. Spread the mixture onto a parchment-lined pan. Bake for 20 minutes.
4. Remove from oven and add the flax seeds and sesame seeds. Bake for an additional 10 minutes.
5. Let cool completely on the pan. Store in an airtight container for one to two weeks.

Sastojci:
- 2 solje ovsenih pahuljica
- 1/2 solje seckanih badema
- 1/2 solje neslanih semenki suncokreta
- 1/4 solje meda
- 3 kasike istopljenog kokosovog ulja
- 2 kasike semenki lana
- 2 kasike susama
Priprema:
1. Zagrejati rernu na 175C.
2. U velikoj ciniji pomesati ovsene pahuljice, bademe i semenke suncokreta.
3. Dodati kokosovo ulje i med. Dobro izmesati da se svi sastojci sjedine.
4. Masu ravnomerno rasporediti na pleh, prethodno oblozen papirom za pecenje. Peci 20 minuta.
5. Izvaditi iz rerne i posuti semenkama lana i susamom. Pa vratiti u rernu i peci jos 10 minuta.
6. Kada je gotova, ostaviti da se skroz ohladi, pa sipati u teglu i cuvati do 2 nedelje.
* Mozete dodati koje kod orasaste plodove ili semenke zelite (Orahe, bademe, lesnike, indijski orah, cia seme, golicu, itd.)
** Granolu mozete praviti sa mlekom ili jogurtom i vocem. Mi cesto pravimo ovaj granola parfait sa prve slike. Grcki jogurt, granolu i voce poredjamo u casu ili neku ciniju, ostavimo preko noci u frizideru i to je to.
