For the loaf
* 1+1/2 cups all-purpose flour (maida)
* ¾ cup cocoa powder
* ½ teaspoon baking soda
* 1 teaspoon baking powder
* 4 bananas
* ¾ cup vegetable oil
* 1 cup castor sugar
* 4 tablespoons Greek Yogurt
* ⅓ cup chocolate chips
For chocolate glaze
* 1 cup (175 gms) dark chocolate, chopped
* 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
* Handful of cacao nibs

Moist Chocolate Loaf Cake

Moist Chocolate Loaf Cake Recipe:
2 cups of flour
1 cup sugar
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tsp baking powder
1 ½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp espresso powder
1 cup milk
½ cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup hot water
-Mix all dry ingredients together
-In a separate bowl, mix milk, oil, and vanilla
-Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture, Mix until combined
- Add hot water and whisk until the batter is completely combined. Batter is thin.
- Divide batter evenly between loaf pans. Bake for 45 mins-1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Baking times vary, so keep an eye on yours. The cakes are done when a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

*Ingredients*
✰ ½ cup vegetable oil (110g)
✰ 2 large eggs
✰ 1 cup warm milk (240g)
✰ 1 cup hot strong coffee (240g)
✰ 2 ½ cups all purpose flour (310g)
✰ ¾ cup cocoa powder (75g)
✰ 1 ¼ cup granulated sugar (250g)
✰ 1 ½ tsp baking powder
✰ ½ tsp baking soda
✰ ½ tsp salt
✰ ½ cup semi sweet chocolate chips + more for topping
*Notes:*
✰ Pan size: 23x13x8cm
✰ Bake in a preheated oven at 340°F / 170°C for 1 hour and 10 minutes

Easy Chocolate Loaf Cake
Chocolate loaf cake is simple, easy, and delicious. I often make it up for dessert 2 or 3 times a year, and my dinner guests love it. The great thing is the recipe only involves a few ingredients, most of which you will have in your pantry. Get the recipe:
There are a few variations to the recipe that you might want to consider. First, I add chocolate chips to the top of the cake, but this is completely optional. You might want to add them into the batter, as well. White chocolate chips can also be used.
If you find there is too much sugar in the recipe, simply cut back a bit. Confectioner's sugar can also be used which is a little more refined. It's a matter of personal preference.
I find 1/2 tsp of baking powder gives the loaf a nice rise. If you want more or less of a rise, adjust the baking powder accordingly.
The cake can also be glazed with chocolate ganache or icing. The loaf goes nicely with a scoop or two of vanilla ice cream.
