How To make Brain Dead Food: Curry Rice & Spinach
1 Box Near East Curry Rice
1 Box frozen spinach
1 cn Black beans
1 cn Diced tomatoes (slightly
Drained) I might have posted this before, but one of my favorite brain-dead foods (outside of spaghetti), is to take one box of Near-East Curry Rice and cook according to directions, without the added fat. While that is cooking, microwave 1 frozen block of spinach (for some reason fresh spinach doesn't taste as good to me in this recipe -- and takes longer unless already de-stemmed and washed). When that is done, drain and set aside. Nuke 1 can of black beans, drained and rinsed, and 1 can of diced tomatoes (minus some of the juice), mixed together (generally for about 3 minutes). When rice is done, mix spinach, rice, beans and tomatoes (generally in a large bowl). Snarf. Not only does it taste good, but it's really colorful with the yellow rice, black beans, red tomatoes and green spinach. Very satisfying. Even my almost-3-yr-old loves it. Is it OK to eat eggs? A new analysis based on three large studies involving nearly 178,000 people found that eating one egg a day did not increase risk for cardiovascular disease or death, even among those with a history of heart disease or diabetes.
The researchers from McMaster University in Canada also reported no significant association between egg consumption and cholesterol levels. For decades, fear of cholesterol problems led many people to cut back on eggs since they are a source of dietary cholesterol. Nutrition experts say the average large egg yolk contains nearly 200 milligrams of cholesterol — about two-thirds of what was considered the daily maximum for dietary cholesterol consumption until 2015, when federal nutritional guidelines stopped recommending a dietary cholesterol limit.
Most cholesterol in the body is produced in the liver. Health experts now say that eating foods high in saturated fat can cause the liver to produce too much cholesterol. Despite their cholesterol component, eggs are low in saturated fats and are generally considered nutritious. An egg — which has about 78 calories — is considered a good source of protein (needed to make and repair cells, make enzymes and hormones, and promote growth and development), vitamin D (which benefits bones and the immune system) and choline (which helps the brain and nervous system).
The cholesterol-rich yolk also contains substances that help the eyes: lutein and zeaxanthin, which stave off cataracts and macular degeneration.
The American Heart Association now recommends one egg a day (or two egg whites) as part of a healthy diet.

Today I was quartering a chicken and found large masses of cancer in the chicken breasts. I have never seen this in chicken meat before. I have heard of cancer in pork meat but never seen it in chicken before. This is an example of why you should quarter your own chickens because you can see everything and discard the meat instead of just cutting around it. The grocery store refunded me and gave me a new chicken that was fine. In all my years first time seeing this. Let me know in comments if you have ever seen this before. #shorts
