How To make Boiled Beef Russian Syle
1 lb Beef marrow bones
2 qt Water
1 ea Onion cubed 1/2"
1 ea Carrot sliced
2 ea Celery ribs w/leaves sliced
1 ea Turnip peeled cubed 1/2"
8 ea Black peppercorns whole*
2 ea Bay leaves*
4 tb Parsley fresh & chopped*
4 tb Dill fresh & chopped*
3 lb Beef rump raost boneless
1 1/2 ts Salt
2 ea Garlic cloves chopped
Take all of the ingredients marked with the { * } and place them into a small cloth bag. Tie the bag closed. Put water, marrow bones,, the bag of spices, the vegetables, & salt into a large pot. Bring to a boil over high heat, skim the foam off as it occurs. Cook for 10 minutes at a boil, add the beef roast, boil for 3 minutes, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 3
1/2 hours. Be sure to skim occassionaly. Remove from
heat, remove the roast from the pot, slice for serving. * NOTE: This is excellent with a honey-onion sauce.

How to cook PILAF? Russian Rice PLOV with Braised Beef.
Hi all! In this video I will tell and show how to properly cook pilaf on fire in a cauldron. Feel free to repeat this recipe it is very tasty. If possible, be sure to cook over a campfire, as the smell of fire adds its own special unique flavor.
Ingredients:
1.5 beef (beef shoulder)
0.9 kg rice
600g carrots
600g onion
3 hot peppers
1-2 pinches ground cumin
10-15 garlic cloves
1-2 cups vegetable oil for frying
salt pepper condiments
For pilaf I took beef. Rice should be special for the pilaf and if it is not parboiled rice, it is necessary to rinse with water in order to be more crumbly.
You can add lard and melt fat for more satiety. But vegetable oil is still needed. Take oil without smell. If you cook pilaf on fire, a good idea will be to cut everything in advance. Also prepare thin firewoods in order to quickly increase the heating power. Let's cut onion by half rings. Carrot should be cut into small stripes. When all the ingredients are ready kindle a fire. It is very important to fry meat first, and then fry onions.When the oil was smoked, we throw meat. For roasting meat and onions, you need a strong heat. When the onion becomes golden color throw carrots. When everything roasted, add water, so that the water is all covered. Here this thing is called zirvak (meat and vegetables), it has the taste of pilaf. You should add too much salt in zirvak since rice will take a lot of salt. Add peppers and spices. Zira must be grinded, the smaller the better. We make a weak fire and leave for 40 minutes. After add rice, it should completely covered with water, if necessary, you can add water. The point is that the rice prepared and the liquid is almost left. Here it is necessary to be attentive. As soon as the rice stopped to boil and began to roast, the cauldron should be immediately removed from the fire. Gently gather all the rice into a bunch, cover with a towel and the lid, water must not drip from the lid, give to stand for 20-30 minutes. After gently mix. And the pilaf is ready!
