Ultimate Angus Beef Burger Recipe | Juicy & Flavorful Homemade Burgers!
Ultimate Angus Beef Burger Recipe | Juicy & Flavorful Homemade Burgers!
Ingredients:
For the Burger Patties:
• 1 pound (450g) Angus beef mince (ground beef), preferably 80% lean, 20% fat
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
• 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
• 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
• 1/2 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
For Assembling the Burgers:
• 4 burger buns
• Lettuce leaves
• Sliced tomatoes
• Sliced onions
• Pickles (optional)
• Cheese slices (cheddar, Swiss, or your choice)
• Ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard for condiments
• Butter or oil for toasting buns
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Burger Patties:
• In a mixing bowl, gently combine the Angus beef mince with salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder (if using). Avoid overworking the meat to keep the patties tender.
• Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into burger patties, about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb; this helps the patties cook evenly and prevents them from puffing up too much.
2. Preheat the Grill or Pan:
• Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. If using a grill, make sure it's well-oiled to prevent sticking.
3. Grill the Burger Patties:
• Place the burger patties on the hot grill or skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on the first side for medium-rare, or adjust the time according to your desired level of doneness.
• Cook the sliced onions on the same grill
• Flip the patties and cook for another 3-4 minutes on the other side.
• During the last minute of cooking, add a cheese slice on top of each patty to melt.
4. Toast the Burger Buns:
• While the patties are cooking, split the burger buns and lightly butter the cut sides.
• Place the buns on the grill or in a toaster until they're lightly toasted. This adds a nice crunch to your burgers.
5. Assemble the Burgers:
• Once the burger patties are cooked to your liking and the cheese is melted, remove them from the grill or skillet.
• Begin assembling your burgers: Place lettuce leaves on the bottom bun, followed by a slice of tomato, a burger patty with melted cheese, sliced red onions, and pickles (if using).
• Add your choice of condiments, such as ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard.
• Finish with the top bun.
6. Serve and Enjoy:
• Your Angus beef burgers are now ready to be served! Serve them with your favorite side dishes like fries or coleslaw.
These homemade Angus beef burgers are juicy, flavorful, and perfect for satisfying your burger cravings. Enjoy!
