How To make Beef and Lentil Stew
1 lb Lean Ground Beef
1/2 c Onion; Chopped, 1 Md
1 ea Clove Garlic; Minced
4 oz Mushroom Stems & Pieces;1 Cn
16 oz Stewed Tomatoes; 1 Cn
1 ea Celery Stalk; Sliced
1 ea Carrot; Lg, Sliced
1 c Lentils; Uncooked
3 c Water
1/4 c Red Wine; Optional
1 ea Bay Leaf
2 tb Parsley; Snipped
1 t Salt
1 t Beef Bouillon; Instant
1/4 t Pepper
Cook and stir the meat, onion and the garlic in a Dutch oven until the meat is brown. Drain off the excess fat. Stir in the undrained mushrooms, and the remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling then reduce the heat, cover, and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the lentils are tender, about 40 minutes. Remove the bay leaf and serve.

Beef with lentils stew
2 large Spanish onions diced
2 pounds of beef stew meat
1 cup of lentils
4 cups of water
⅓ cup of extra light olive oil
Spray canola oil for the meat
Kosher salt to taste
Black pepper to your taste
1 tbsp nutritional yeast
New England garlic pepper seasoning rub
Directions:
-Fry onions with cover on using olive oil till onions brown and are tender,
-Fry the meat in a separate skillet with canola oil for about 15 to 20 minutes on medium heat
-Add the meat into the onions
-Add the lentils and add the water
-Add the seasonings and spices
-Mix well, cover, and cook for 30 to 40 minutes on medium heat
