How To make Beef& Lentil Stew
1 lb Lean Ground Beef
1/2 c Onion
Chopped, 1 Md
1 Clove Garlic :
Minced
4 oz Mushroom Stems & Pieces 1 Cn
16 oz Stewed Tomatoes :
1 Cn
1 Celery Stalk Sliced
1 Carrot :
Lg, Sliced
1 c Lentils Uncooked
3 c Water
1/4 c Red Wine :
Optional
1 Bay Leaf
2 tb Parsley Snipped
1 t Salt
1 t Beef Bouillon :
Instant
1/4 ts Pepper
Cook and stir the meat, onion and the garlic in a Dutch oven until the meat is brown. Drain off the excess fat. Stir in the undrained mushrooms, and the remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling then reduce the heat, cover, and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the lentils are tender, about 40 minutes. Remove the bay leaf and serve.

Lentil Beef Stew Recipe
Meat:
2.24 to 2.50 lbs. of Shoulder Roast Boneless Beef
Seasoning:
1.5 to 2 TBSPS of Chili Powder
1 to 2 TBSPS of Montreal Steak Seasoning
Oil:
2 TBSPS Olive oil
Paste:
Add 4 TBSPS to the Lentil Beef Stew Recipe
Vegetables:
2 Carrots
3 Russet Potatoes
1.5 cup or 1 large Vidalia Onion
1 Fresh turmeric
2 to 3 15oz of canned lentils
Liquids:
1 Coconut milk can
32oz or 4 Cups of Beef stock
1. Season your beef with your two seasonings of chili powder and Montreal steak seasoning.
2. Add your olive oil to your 5.7-liter pot with your chopped onions and sliced turmeric. Allow it to sweat out for about 5 minutes on medium.
3. Add your beef and homemade paste, then allow to cook for 15 more on medium-high without the lid.
4. After 20 minutes of cooking, then add the rest of your sliced and chopped vegetables. Along with lentils, all your liquids and cook on medium to medium-high for the next 40 minutes. Stir occasionally to ensure it does not stick to the bottom of the pain.
Tips: You can also cook it at a lower temperature but it will take longer to cook, but usually do not have to stir occasionally.
If your pan is oven-safe, then set your temperature at 350 degrees after the 20 minutes on the top and forget about it until your 40 minutes is up.
