Boricha - Korean Water
A lot of you asked what the health benefits of boricha are and ima be honest…. I don’t know the health benefits of Korean water???? I just drink it because its good LOL but since I’m making this post, I did some research.
Boricha is Korean water aka barley tea. It’s made by steeping roasted barley kernels in hot water. You can also buy this as pre made tea bags but lets be real, my man is Korean and so is my MIL… you really think I’m about to do that (buy barely tea bags)??? No ma’am.
Boricha is free in calories so that’s where we get “Korean water”. If you have ever gone to a Korean market, they usually serve this instead of regular water.
Boricha is also rich in antioxidants which helps prevent free radical damage to your cells (free radicals are harmful molecules that can cause inflammation and promote cellular dysfunction if they build up in your body)
Boricha may have anti cancer properties. Barely offers cancer-prevention benefits but more study is needed on this to fully confirm.
