How To make Barbecued Fish
1 sm Onion; chopped
1 tb Brown sugar
1/4 c Cider vinegar
2 tb Catsup
2 tb Dry mustard
1 ts Worcestershire sauce
1/4 ts Ground cloves
1 ts Chili powder
1/4 ts Cayenne pepper
1 1/2 lb Firm, whitefish fillets
- such as Red Snapper - or Halibut COMBINE ALL SAUCE INGREDIENTS in a pot, place over medium heat and boil until reduced to a thin syrup. Pour the syrup through a strainer, discard the cooked ingredients in the strainer and chill the syrup. Place fish steaks or fillets in a baking dish and spoon some syrup over. Marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Cook the fish on a hot grill, basting with a teaspoon of barbecue syrup on each side. ~--

Ingredients
Basa Fish Fillets - 2
Salt and Pepper - 1/2 tsp
All Purpose Flour - 1/2 cup
Oil - 2 tbsp
Onion and Garlic - 1/2 tsp
Lemon - 1
Water - 5 tbsp
Butter - 2 -3 tbsp
Parsely - 1/2 cup
Method
1. Season the fish fillet with some salt and pepper powder.
2. Coat the fish with flour.
3. Heat oil in a pan sautee some onion and garlic for 2 minutes and take it out.
4. Fry the fish until it turns beautiful golden brown color.
5. Add 1 lemon juice, Water, and Butter.
6. Add some chopped parsley, and serve.

Ingredients for Grilled Fish:
- Fish fillets - 4 (total of 300-350 gms.)
1st marinade:
- Salt- 1/2 tsp
- Crushed peppercorns- 1/2 tsp
- Juice of 1/2 small lemon
2nd marinade:
- Red Chilli flakes-1 tsp
- Dark soy sauce- 1 tsp
- Red Chilli Sauce- 2 tbsp
- Garlic, finely chopped- 1 tbsp
- Refined oil- 2 tbsp
Preparation:
- Marinate the fish fillets with the 1st marinade. Mix well and set aside for around 10 mins.
- Fine chop the garlic and prepare the sauce mix for the 2nd marinade.
- Spread the 2nd marinade evenly on both sides of the fish fillets.
- Set aside for 30 mins.
- Process:
- Preheat the grill pan and brush the grill pan with 1 tsp oil.
- Place the fish fillets side by side and grill on medium heat for 2 mins.
- Turn over the fish fillets and put rest of marinade on top. Grill the other side for 2 mins on medium heat.
- Flip the fillets again and reduce heat to low, basting the fillets with the oil/marinade on the grill pan and grilling it for 2 mins.
- Repeat the same on the other side again for 2 mins on low heat.

In today's video, let's see how to make restaurant style grilled fish, on a grill pan. You will not need any tandoor setup or oven to make this.
Ingredients:
Boneless Fish Fillet - 250 gms
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Fennel Powder - 1/2 tsp
Black Pepper Powder - 1/2 tsp
Lemon Juice - from 1/2 lemon
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
Rice Powder - 2 to 3 tsp
Chopped Curry Leaves - 10 to 15
Chopped Coriander Leaves - handful
Vegetable Oil - 1 tbsp
Egg - 1
Oil - to grill the fish
Some fresh vegetables for the salad
Preparation:
Wash the fish fillet and cut it into slices. You will get around 8 slices from 250 gms of boneless fish.
To prepare the marination -
Into a bowl, add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, fennel powder, black pepper powder, ginger garlic paste, rice powder/flour and mix.Beat an egg and add to this. Also add juice from half lemon and mix. Add in freshly chopped curry leaves and coriander leaves. Add in some vegetable oil.
Mix everything really well and coat the fish slices with this masala.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hour or overnight.
Heat a grill pan and pour some vegetable oil. You can also use olive oil.
Place the fish slices one by one and grill the fish between low and medium heat.
Once the fish turns crisp and golden brown, flip them and fry the other side as well.
Once done, transfer onto a kitchen towel to get rid of the excess oil.
In the same pan, grill the vegetables of your choice. Cut the vegetables into long strips and saute them for couple of minutes. I have used carrots, green capsicum, onion and tomatoes.
You need to still retain the crunchiness and not overcook these vegetables.
The Restaurant Style Grilled Fish is now ready to be served along with the salted vegetables.
