ENERGY BARS | easy, healthy 5-ingredient recipe
Peanut butter, banana oatmeal energy bars are made with just 5-ingredients and are a delicious plant based breakfast or snack when you need something quick and easy! Made with no refined flour or added sugars, these energy bars are tasty, healthy and family friendly.
To make these bars, all you need is; nut butter, rolled oats, ripe bananas, chopped walnuts and chocolate chips. I also love to add vanilla and cinnamon (if you have it!). So easy and so good.

5_INGREDIENT ENERGY BARS RECIPE
3 large ripe bananas, 14-16 ounces
2 cups rolled oats, gluten free
1 cup creamy peanut butter, all natural
1 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup chocolate chip*
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
Pre-heat oven to 350 F and grease a quarter sheet pan with cooking spray or coconut oil.
Place bananas in a large bowl and mash with the back of a fork until they are broken down.
Add oats, peanut butter, chopped walnuts, chocolate chips, vanilla and cinnamon.
Stir everything together until all of the ingredients are well combined and you have a nice thick batter.
Transfer the batter onto the prepared baking sheet and pat done until it's pushed into the corners,
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until they are fragrant, lightly browned on top and set through.
Cool completely. Slice into 16 bars by making one vertical slice and seven horizontal. Enjoy!
NOTES
*To keep this recipe 100% vegan, be sure to purchase vegan chocolate chips.
*Feel free to swap in any nut or seed butter in place of the peanut butter.
*Stack the bars in an airtight container, with parchment paper in between so they don’t stick. They will last up to one week in the fridge and several months in the freezer.

I am so excited to be bringing to you today one of my favourite breakfasts bars / well balanced snack bars. They are super easy to make !!! They’re gluten free, vegan and refined sugar free using only 3 ingredients!
Oatmeal Breakfast Bars are a healthy, filling, and they will keep you powered for hours. These breakfast bars are easy to make, can be frozen, and are great for snacks too. What I love about these is that you can play about with the ingredients and add nuts, seeds, fruits, raisins etc.
Bananas can help fight off depressions, energises the brain, a sourAntioxidantsidants and they are an excellent source of energy, carbohydrates, potassium and vitamin B6, all of which can help boost energy levels.
Oats are packed with energy, improves digestion, helps lower cholesterol and are full of vitamins and minerals. They are a combination of high fibre and complex, slow-digesting carbohydrates. This results in a slow release of sugar into the blood after a meal which provides a sustained supply of energy to the body.
Cinnamon helps you lose weight, reduces inflammation, helps to balance blood sugar, contains a good dose of calcium, reduces bloating and IBS, powerful antioxidant, contains vitamins minerals for optimal health.

easy one-bowl baked oatmeal bars ????
Ingredients:
- 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
- 1/2 cup peanut butter or nut butter of choice
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Add all ingredients to baking dish (I used my @lecreuset baking dish) and mix. Bake at 350F for 18-28 minutes or until you start seeing the bars turn golden brown. Enjoy!!
