Fall Recipe: Apple Bread with Cinnamon Crumble!
Need a way to use up all those apples? Apple bread is is great for a snack or even weekend brunch!
Pre-heat oven to 350F, grease a loaf pan.
Chop apples (I like using my apple master because it is quick and minimizes food waste! A must have in any kitchen for fall baking!) and add lemon juice to keep them from browning. Set aside.
Whisk together the cake flour (you can make homemade cake flour if you don't have any on hand by remove 2 tablespoons of flour for every cup of flour you have and adding in 2 tablespoons of cornstarch), baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Set aside.
Cream the butter and sugar, add the egg and continue beating until fluffy.
Beat or mix the dry ingredients alternately with the milk into the egg mixture (mixing between each addition). Fold apples into the batter.
Put the batter into the loaf pan and add the cinnamon crumb topping. Bake for approximately 45 minutes
Enjoy!
