Chocolate Chess Pie
A southern pie recipe. We get blamed for everything that's full of sugar or salt, lol.
Chocolate Chess Pie
1/2 stick butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 heaping Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 cup cocoa
2 eggs
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 unbaked deep dish pie shell
Cream butter, sugar and cornstarch until well blended. Add cocoa and eggs. Mix milk, water and vanilla and add to mixture. The secret to this pie is to mix ingredients well. Bake in a 350 degree oven until set, about 45-50 minutes.
