4 Eggs; beaten 1 1/2 c Sugar 1/2 c Butter; melted 1 tb Vinegar 1 ts Vanilla 1/2 ts Salt 1 c Coconut; flaked 1 Pie shell, 9", partially -baked Toasted flaked coconut (OPT) Combine first 6 ingredients. Beat well. Stir in 1 cup coconut; pour into partially baked pie shell. Bake at 325~ for 45 to 50 minutes or until set. Cool on wire rack. Garnish with toasted coconut. Southern Classic Chess Pie
Ingredients:
1 Deep Dish Pie Crust 1 Stick of unsalted Butter (room temperture) 4 Eggs 1 1/2 Cups of Sugar 2 Tablespoons All Purpose Flour 1 Tablespoon of Yellow Cornmeal 1/4 Teaspoon Salt 1 Tablespoon of White Vinegar or Lemon Juice 1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract 1/4 Cup of Whole or Evaporated Milk
Bake @350 for 55 minutes. Cool Completely before serving or placing in a refrigerator.

Almond Chess Pie - Featuring Coconut Oil Crust
BEST CRUST EVER! The recipe ingredients: Pie crust 1 1/2 cups bread flour 1/2 cup virgin coconut oil 1/2 teaspoon salt 3-5 tablespoons ice water
Filling 2/3 cup sugar 1/3 cup melted and cooled butter 1 cup light corn syrup 3 large eggs 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup sliced almonds
Bake in 400 degree oven for 15 minutes, turn oven down to 350 degrees for additional 45-50 minutes depending on your oven.
Coconut oil is solid but melts at 76-78 degrees.
No need to put dough in refrigerator, it can be rolled out right away.

Pie Filling/ 4 lg eggs 1 1/3 cups sugar 1/2 cup buttermilk 3 Tablespoons melted butter, cooled 4 teaspoons corn meal 3/4-1cup shredded coconut 1/3 cup toasted pecans 1 tsp coconut extract 1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell 400 degrees/10 minutes lower oven temp to 350 for 30 minutes till golden. Pie will completely set in center when cool.
