20 Stalks of asparagus 4 Thin slices of prosciutto
fat removed 4 Pats unsalted butter Freshly ground pepper 1/2 c Grated Reggiano Parmesan :
(freshly grated) 1 Lemon; quartered Cut off tough ends of asparagus; cover asparagus with water in a skillet; bring to a boil and cook until tender but still firm (3-4 minutes). Drain well. Divide asparagus into 4 bundles of 3 stalks each; wrap prosciutto slice around center of bundle. Place the 4 bundles into oven-proof dish; dot with butter; season with pepper, and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Place in the oven to brown the cheese (4-5 minutes). Serve with lemon wedge. In this video April makes a recipe for Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus! This is a dish that is so pretty and perfect for entertaining, and it's so easy to make. April also adds a secret ingredient that adds some extra richness and flavor.
Ingredients:
1 lb Asparagus, stems removed 6 Thin Slices Prosciutto 1/4 Cup Herbed or Plain Low Fat Cream Cheese Juice from 1/2 of a Lemon 1 Tbls Extra Virgin Olive Oil 1/4 tsp Salt 1/4 tsp Pepper
Directions:
Preheat Oven to 400 degrees Take half of one slice of prosciutto and spread on a teaspoon of cream cheese Take 3 Asparagus and wrap them in the prosciutto slice Continue until all asparagus are wrapped and place them on a baking sheet Sprinkle Lemon Juice, oil, salt, and pepper evenly over the asparagus Bake for 15 minutes, and enjoy!
