Hello Friends! Today Im sharing the perfect potluck recipe, Easter side dish, Picnic, or BBQ side..The list goes on. Its literally the perfect food for a crowd, thats guaranteed to please everyone. I personally love all trifles (Mostly sweet), but this one is so savory, and delicious. If your wanting more of that southwestern kick add green chilis, or jalapeños to the mix. Like I said its very versatile, and easy to throw together. Take it to the next potluck your invited to, and your dish will be a hit! I doubled the recipe in this video (adjusting for the size of the crowd), but Ill have the recipe written below as normal. ENJOY!
Betty Crocker Cornbread~ 1 cup Flour 1 cup yellow, or white cornmeal 2-4 Tbs sugar 1 Tbs Baking Powder 1/2 Tsp Salt 2 Eggs 1 cup Milk 1/4 cup Cooking oil
Mix ing until combined, do not over mix. Bake at 425 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
Trifle Ing~ Baked Cornbread 1 package crispy cooked bacon (I add pepper to mine) 1 1/2 cup mayo mixed with 1/2 cup ranch (reversible if desiring a stronger ranch flavor) 1 cup chopped tomato 1/2 cup chopped green pepper 1/2 cup chopped onion 2 cans chili beans ( 1 tbs Worcestershire sauce, 1 tbs chili sauce ,1 tsp chili powder, 1/2 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp Weber's kickin Chicken season ) 2 cans whole kernel Corn 2 cups grated cheddar cheese (Smoked cheddar is amazing in this recipe) Layer each ing starting with corn bread. Repeat layers, Top with bacon, cheese, and green onion if desired. Serve cold. This recipe makes great leftovers.
