Parmesan Cheese Ice Cream Recipe from 1789 | 4-ingredient Homemade Savory Custard Ice Cream
We tried a 230 year old Parmesan Ice Cream Recipe from Frederick Nutt’s book The Complete Confectioner published in 1789. The recipe only requires four ingredients: eggs, simply syrup, heavy cream, and freshly grated parmesan cheese. It tastes very smooth, sweet and slightly savory.
Mr. Nutt includes 32 recipes for ice cream and 24 for water ices. If you are interested in Nutt’s book and would like to try his other recipes, you can read this book online at:

How To Make Cheese Scones | Cookery School | Waitrose
Cheese scones are perfect for brunch or afternoon tea - Chef tutor Andrew Roberts shows us how to make them at our Kings Cross Cookery School
This recipe is easily adaptable. If you want a strong cheese flavour you can use extra mature Cheddar like Andrew has done however most hard cheeses will work – parmesan or Comté would both offer a tangy, rich flavour.
Ingredients:
225g self-raising flour, plus extra for dusting
1 tsp baking powder
50g salted butter, diced
100g extra mature Cheddar, finely grated
150ml milk, plus extra for brushing
We are the only supermarket to have our own Cookery Schools. You can join Andrew and our other talented chefs to perfect your skills in a wide range of different classes. We have specialised kitchens in Finchley Road, Kings Cross and Salisbury and you can join our chefs virtually too. Click on the link below to find out more.

Parmesan Cheese Bowl Recipe | Hungry AF
You won't believe how easy it is to make these fancy Parmesan Cheese Bowls! #GratersGonnnaGrate
For more Hungry AF recipes:
INGREDIENTS
For the pasta:
½ lb dried spaghetti
1 cup pecorino romano cheese, finely grated
3 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper (add more per taste)
For the parmesan frico bowl:
1 ½ cups shredded parmesan cheese
RECIPE
For the cheese bowls:
Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Divide the cheese into two portions, and form each portion into an even 6-7 inch circles on the parchment paper. Bake for about 6 minutes, until the cheese is melted and golden. Remove from oven and quickly use a spatula to lift each parmesan frico off the tray. Flip over two soup bowls (bottoms facing up) and place each frico over the bowls. Gently press around the sides to form bowl-like shapes. Allow to cool.
For the pasta:
Cook pasta to al dente in salted water. Reserve about a cup of the pasta water and drain the rest. With the pasta still in the pot, add olive oil, some of the pasta water, half of the cheese, and black pepper. Toss the pasta until fully coated.
Serve in the parmesan bowls, and sprinkle more cheese and black pepper on top.
