Holiday Harvest Pumpkin Pie Dessert: Meso Southern Style
Pumpkin Pie (Makes 3 pies) If you want more or less, divide by 3 then multiply by the number of pies desired.
Meso’s Pumpkin Pie Makes 3 Pies
Ingredients:
4 cups fresh or 32 oz. canned Pumpkin
1 & 1/4 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
(For a more Orange Pumpkin look/color use ALL white sugar, no brown)
2 Eggs
½ tsp. Cinnamon
½ tsp. Allspice
½ tsp. ground Nutmeg
1 tbsp. Lemon juice
1 tsp. Lemon Flavoring
1 tsp. Vanilla Flavoring
1/4 tsp. (dash) salt
1/4 cup Flour
1 cup Evaporated Milk (or any other milk including Almond/Coconut etc.)
1 stick melted butter
3 Deep Dish Pie Crust
Make sure to scrape down sides of bowl and rinse strings from beaters a couple of times.
Bake in 350 degree pre-heated oven for approximately 75 minutes. Start checking at 60 minutes. All ovens are different.

This recipe is a classic for a reason: a no-fuss dessert with a rich and smooth filling in a tender, flaky crust. It's also perfect for making ahead! There are a lot of thanksgiving recipes that I get questions about but homemade pumpkin pie from scratch is at the top of the list so I made a new video with all my tips and tricks as well as a test of two different paking methods!
