6 diced bacon strips
3 medium onions
sliced
1 1/2 pounds fresh haddock :
cut in 2 1/2" pieces
1 1/2 pounds peeled potatoes cut in 3/4" cubes
3 large carrots :
cut in 3/4" cubes
1/2 teaspoon celery seeds
1/4 cup diced green pepper
2 teaspoons salt (or salt to taste)
1/2 teaspoon pepper
3 cups boiling water
1 can (28 oz.) crushed tomatoes (3 1/2 c.)
2 tablespoons snipped parsley
Can also add chicken breasts (skinned, boned, cubed), shrimp, clams, oysters, e tc.
In deep kettle or Dutch oven, saute bacon until lightly browned; remove bacon, set aside.
In same kettle, saute onions until tender. Add fish, potatoes, celery seeds, carrots, green peppers, salt, pepper, chicken and/or any other seafood and boil ing water. Simmer, covered, until vegetables are tender, about 25 minutes. Ad d tomatoes; heat. Garnish with parsley and crumbled bacon bits. Serves 6 main dishes. Recipe doubled nicely:
use 1 pound bacon!

Fish Molee or meen molly is a mildly spicy stew in which fish is cooked in coconut milk with some spices.Fish molyy tastes best when served with Appam or Palappam.Perfect for Easter or Christmas feast.So here is the recipe for Easter Special Fish Molly.
ടേസ്റ്റിയായ ഫിഷ് മോളി തയാറാക്കാം.അപ്പം പാലപ്പം എന്നിവയുടെ കൂടെ കഴിക്കാം
Ingredients
Fish(I used King Fish)-350 gms
To marinate
Turmeric powder-1/2 tspn
Pepper powder-3/4 tspn
Lemon juice-1 tspn
Salt
For gravy
Onion-1 small sliced
Small onion-4
Ginger and garlic crushed-1 1/2 tspn each
Green chilli-2
Tomato-1
Turmeric powder-1/4 tspn
Whole spices-cinnamon-1,cardamom-2 cloves-2
Thin coconut milk-1/2 cup
Medium thick coconut milk-1/2 cup
Thick coconut milk-1/4 cup
Curry leaves
Salt
Oil
Marinate fish and keep for 30 mints
Shallow fry in oil till half cooked
To the same oil add whole spices.Then add ginger garlic and green chillies.Let the raw smell disappear.Add onions and saute till soft.Add thin coconut milk ,curry leaves and salt.Let it boil.Then add fried fish.Cover and cook till gravy thickens.Add medium thick coconut milk and tomatoes.Cover again and cook till tomtoes are soft and gravy thickens.Finally add thick coconut milk and switch off the flame.Yummy Kerala fish molee is ready to serve.
