How To make Cherry Cheese Coffee Cake
1 pound Frozen Bread Dough -- * see note
21 ounces cherry pie filling
1/2 cup raisins
8 ounces fat-free cream cheese
softened
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup skim milk
2 tablespoons unbleached flour
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 cup unbleached flour
1/4 cup brown sugar :
packed
3 tablespoons reduced fat margarine -- cold
On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to a 13 x 9" rectangle. Place in prepa red 13 x 9" pan. Cover and let rise double in size, 1 hour. In a mixing bowl, c ombine cherry pie filling and raisins. Spread evenly over dough. In a another m ixing bowl, combine cream cheese, granulated sugar, milk, 2 tablespoons flour, and almond extract. Pour mixture over cherry mixture. In a small mixing bowl, c ombine remaining flour, and brown sugar. Cut in margarine until mixture resembl es coarse crumbs. Sprinkle mixture ov er cream cheese layer. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 40 minutes.

Cherry Coffee Cake Recipe made from scratch is presented in this video. This is very easy homemade cake recipe with dark morello cherries. You can use fresh cherries, frozen ones or even from the compote. Just remember to use pitted cherries. This cake is a great sweet dessert which is easy and simple to bake. This coffee cake presents itself beautifully when it is served. The sweet taste from cherries may remind you of your grammas homemade cake from your childhood. Sweet aroma of baked cherry cake is just amazing. If you bake this cake once I can assure you that this will be your favorite recipe whenever you want to make a simple fruit pastry.
Ingredients:
250 g ALL PURPOSE WHITE FLOUR
350 g PITTED CHERRIES
1/2 cup MILK
100 g UNSALTED BUTTER
3 EGGS
1/4 cup SUGAR
2 tbsp POTATO STARCH
1 tbsp BAKING POWDER
DASH OF SALT
additional 1/2 tsp SUGAR (FOR EGG WHITES)
additional 1 tbsp WHITE FLOUR
1 tbsp POWDERED SUGAR (FOR DUSTING-OPTIONAL)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Separate egg whites from yolks. Beat egg whites with a dash of salt until they are stiff. At the end of beating add sugar and beat those egg whites for couple more seconds. Put aside.
2) Warm up milk a bit on the stove. Take it on the side and add sugar and butter. Let the butter melt. Add also egg yolks. Combine everything using whisker.
3) In the mixing bowl add: all purpose white flour, potato starch, baking powder and the milk-sugar-butter mixture. Using mixer combine all those ingredients on medium speed. Reduce the speed to slow. Slowly start adding egg whites. Mix it just until you combine all ingredients. Don't over mix egg whites with batter.
4) Grease the 9 inch springfrorm pan. Transfer the batter to the baking dish. Level the surface of the batter. Dust with some flour on the top. Place fruits on the top.
5) Preheat the oven. Bake at 350 F / 175 C for 40-45 minutes.
6) When cake is baked let it cool. Dust with some powdered sugar. Bon Appétit!

Cherry Coffee Cake - the most amazing coffee cake, perfect for breakfast, snack or as a dessert with your favorite coffee or tea. It is my go-to cake when i need something fast and easy yet incredibly delicious!
Ingredients:
4 eggs
8.5 oz (240 g) sugar
10.6 oz (300 g) all-purpose flour
0.46 oz (13 g) baking powder
7.05 oz (200 g) greek yogurt (or sour cream)
3.4 us fl oz (100 ml) milk
8.1 us fl oz (240 ml) sunflower oil
14.1 oz (400 g) pitted and halved cherries
powdered sugar
Grease and flour 26cm baking dish.
Preheat the oven to 350 F(180 C).
Beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add flour and baking powder (stir in baking powder into the flour).
Combine greek yogurt (or sour cream) and milk and pour it into the egg mixture.
Add oil and mix well to combine.
Pour half of the mixture into the baking dish.
Bake in preheated oven for 6-7 minutes.
Take the cake out of the oven, spread the cherries over the cake. Pour the second half of the batter over the cherries.
Return to the oven and bake for another 23 minutes.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
