Day 5 in the USA started very early, we drove to Dearborn, and on the way, we passed by Kennedy House of Pancakes, tasty coffee, delicious pancakes, and nice music.
The first stop in Dearborn at AlAmir restaurant, one of the oldest Middle Eastern restaurants, they do lunch, dinner, and full-service catering from farm to table. There is a very nice Lebanese vibe inside the kitchen, the employees speak Arabic. The Kebbeh is freshly made, the hummus is creamy, the manouche is rich, and the meat is very tender with character.
The Homecoming event with a food park and food trucks is happening in Dearborn, I had a super juicy burger with super quality meat.
For dessert we tried Cannelle, the owners are Lebanese, they bake fine pastry, not chewy, nice creaminess and super low in sugar.
Our friend Abbas Mansour took us for a tour to discover the city in the best way possible.
The Monarch club is impressive, some food and drinks on the 13th floor, with 360 view.
Ended the day with a Cuban style burger and some churros at Frita Bar.

RAISIN COOKIES: GOOD MEMORIES FOR EVERYDAY
FULL RECIPE FOR RAISIN COOKIES
Ingredients
250 g butter
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
½ cup yogurt
1 cup raisins
½ tbsp. ground cinnamon
1 tbsp baking powder
4 ½ - 5 cups flour
1/3 cup roughly crushed walnuts (optional)
Directions
Into a large bowl, crack 2 eggs at room temperature and add ½ cup of yogurt
Lightly whisk the ingredients.
Add 1 cup of sugar and continue whisking
Spice it up with ½ tbsp. of cinnamon and gently pour the melted (but cooled!) butter into the mixture and stir the ingredients to form a smooth batter
1 tbsp of baking powder should be enough to make crispy cookies that rise slowly in the oven
Thoroughly whisk the baking powder into the batter
Finally, add 4 cups of flour to hold everything together
(!) Do not add the 5th cup of flour, yet. In any dough recipe, always check the consistency of the dough before adding the rest of the flour!
Add a bit of texture with 1 cup of raisins and being kneading the dough
Observe the consistency as the white flour disappears into the dough
If the dough is very stick, then gradually add the last cup of flour until you achieve a soft, smooth, and easily moldable cookie dough
Roughly divide the dough into walnut-sized chunks
Then, smooth them into small balls and neatly arrange them on an oven tray
Each cookie will rise and expand during baking so give them some space to grow and reach their full potential!
BAKING
Preheat the oven to 380 °F (or 180 °C)
Place the cookies into the oven and bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until the cookies appear to be lightly toasted and blushed
At this point, waiting can be difficult, but these cookies will develop their best texture as they cool down to room temperature
I made my first Raisin Cookies when I was 12 years old and I still go crazy for their flavor, aroma, and texture: a crispy outer shell and soft center
Once the cookies have cooled down to room temperature, store them in a covered glass jar
Now, it is time to share and multiply this happiness with people who love;
Share the smell of cinnamon, the sweet burst of baked raisins, and the unique feelings that only homemade cookies can trigger
Raisin Cookies resurface happy memories, so we can enjoy a light-hearted moment amidst a busy life
A glass of milk goes perfectly with these delicious cookies!!
Inspire awesome memories by sharing Raisin Cookies as a delightful gift!
Perfect for celebrating birthdays, Easter, Halloween, and any other special days that belong to children!!
Homemade Raisin Cookies are an easy and healthy alternative to the junk that kids eat nowadays
Share this piece of joy with children you love!!
Appreciate their dreams, talents, and intelligence!
Make their day!
Boost their happy memories!!
Use those sweet little cookies to spread love everywhere you are able to reach!!..
…
Cheerfully!
Best way to say thank you; SUBSCRIBE
