Homemade Wheat Thins Recipe : Season 5, Ep. 9 - Chef Julie Yoon
Even if you’re not someone who normally makes snacks from scratch, these Homemade Wheat Thins are a must-try! They’re wholesome, crisp, and delightfully grainy crackers that taste identical to the ones you get from the box, but you have the satisfaction of knowing you made them yourself! Add them to your next charcuterie board or just eat them by the bowlful. The only downside is when they’re gone and you wish you made more! This is EPISODE 9 of Bits + Pieces SEASON 5, and for this season, we’re focusing on scrumptious snacks! Thanks for watching, and stop by our blog to find the written recipe here:

How to make HEALTHY HOMEMADE CRACKERS! (100% whole-wheat!)
Crackers make everything better…
Prep time: 10m
Cook time: 12-15m
Total time: about 30m
Ingredients:
3 cups whole-wheat flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 tsp honey
4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 cup water
Seasonings of choice (I used salt, pepper, Italian herbs, and sesame seeds!)
Directions:Preheat your oven to 400°F
Line a baking sheet(s) with parchment paper
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, honey, olive oil and water
Mix until the ingredients form one uniform dough
Separate into two dough bundles for easier rolling
On a floured surface, roll out each dough ball as thinly as possible
Lightly brush the thin dough with water so that your seasoning sticks
SeasonUsing a pizza cutter or knife, cut the dough into your desired cracker shapes
Place the crackers onto your baking sheet(s)
Poke each cracker with a fork twice so that they don’t bubble in the oven
Bake for 12-15m or until lightly browned on top
Enjoy hot or let cool and serve! :)
