How To make Tandoori Chicken
2 lb Chicken legs and thighs
1 1/2 tb Vegetable oil
1/2 ts Red food color
Salt to taste 1/2 ts Black pepper
1 To 2 - tsp garlic powder
1 md Onion(optional)
1 c Yogurt
1 ts Garam Masala
1/2 Lemon or lime, sliced
Source: MAINPOUL.ZIP (Indian Style) Peel skin off chicken pieces. Make several cuts into each piece. Wash off clean with paper towel. Mix vegetable oil, food color, all spices and onion, if desired into yogurt. Marinate chicken with mixture 4 or 5 hours, overnight for best results. Bake chicken @ 400 degrees 30
minutes. No need to preheat oven. Keep basting with juice occasionally. If there is excess juice, you may spoon out some. Broil chicken 2 to 5 minutes toward the end. Sprinkle with Garam Masala. Garnish with lemon slices and few leaves of cilantro (optional).

Tandoori Chicken Roast - Without Oven Roast Recipe
Tandoori Chicken is a famous delicacy of India and Pakistan. Chicken pieces are coated with spicy marinade and cooked on a grill or tandoor until chicken is tender to bone. In this recipe I have shown very basic and authentic way of making chicken tandoori at home. This tandoori chicken recipe is made without oven or any kind of grill. It is delicious and super easy.

First Marination-

TANDOORI CHICKEN
Ingredients:-
Whole Chicken - 1 Full Bird
Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
Yogurt - 1 Cup
Ginger Garlic Paste- 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
Garam Masala - 1 tsp
Cumin Powder - 1 tsp
Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
Kashmiri Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Kasoori Methi - 1 tsp
Lemon Juice - 1 tsp
Oil - As Required
Salt - To Taste
Method:-
First cut the chicken as shown in the video. Massage the chicken with chilli powder and salt & lime juice nicely. In a bowl add yogurt,add ginger garlic paste,turmeric,coriander powder,garam masala,cumin powder,kashmiri chilli powder,chat masala and mix it nicely. Then add some lemon juice and oil. Apply this masala to chicken and add little amount of oil. Put the whole chicken in oven at the highest temperature for 45-50 minutes.
Tasty and Juicy Tandoori Chicken is ready to serve.

Learn how to make grilled tandoori chicken with complete marination from our chef Archana on Ruchkar Mejwani. This chicken recipe is very easy to make at home on gas without using tandoor / oven / microwave.

Ingredients:
5 Chicken Leg Pieces
6 tbsp Strain Curd
2 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
1 Lemon Juice
1/2 tsp Black Pepper Powder
1 tsp Kitchen King Masala
1 tbsp Mix Masala
1/2 tsp Orange Red Color
Salt to taste
Method:
- Marinate the chicken pieces with strain curd, ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, black pepper powder, kitchen king masala, mix masala, salt and orange red color.
- Let the chicken marinate for 1 hour
- In a pan without oil or ghee cook the chicken pieces on a medium flame for 15 minutes.
- Once the chicken is cooked remove it on a plate and let it cool down completely.
- With the help of a skewer grill the chicken pieces on gas.
- Enjoy tandoori chicken with naan or paratha.
