How To make Szechuan Shrimp and Pasta
8 ounces linguine
1 pound medium shrimp
peeled and deveined
2 teaspoons szechuan style pepper blend :
divided
2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 red bell pepper -- sliced in strips
8 ounces fresh snow pea pods or sugar snap peas
3/4 cup water
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1/4 cup soy sauce
Cook the linguine according to package directions.
Sprinkle shrimp with 1 teaspoon szechuan style pepper blend. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in 10 inch skillet over medium high heat. Add shrimp, sprinkle with garlic powder and ginger. Stir fry 3 minutes or until shrimp are pink. Set aside.
Add remaining 1 tablespoon oil to skillet. Stir fry pepper strips and pea pods 2 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Combine water, cornstarch, soy sauce and remaining 1 teaspoon Szechuan style pepper blend. Pour into skillet; cook 1-2 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Return shrimp to skillet; heat through. Serve over linguine. Makes 4 servings.

THINGS YOU’LL NEED:
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon ground ginger fresh minced ginger is good, too
1 tablespoon honey or more for sweeter
1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder fresh minced garlic is good, too
1 teaspoon sriracha or more to taste
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 cup chicken stock
OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS
1-2 tablespoons cornstarch, optional for thickening
1/2 - 1 teaspoon Szechuan peppercorns lightly toasted and ground (or use black peppercorns instead)
1/2 - 1 teaspoon Chinese 5-spice

Ingredients:
Serves 6 - 8 pax
Mix (A) together and deep fry them until 80% done.
Then fry (B) and add the cooked prawns towards the end.

1/2 tsp of salt
A few dashes of white pepper
Half an egg white
2 tbsps of cornflour

200g of Chinese leeks
1 whole red onion - sliced
20g of chopped young ginger
5 cloves of chopped garlic

1 tsp spicy broad bean paste (
1 tbsp Chinese fragrant spicy chilli sauce (
1/2 tsp pounded green Sichuan peppercorn (
1/2 tsp pounded red Sichuan peppercorn (
2 tbsps Chinese cooking wine (Shaoxing Huatiao wine) (

Shrimp with Creamy Garlic Sauce

Creamy garlic parm shrimp
Serves 2
3-4 Table spoons neutral oil (Grape seed or sunflower oil)
1 lb Peeled deveined shrimp size 8-12
2 Tablespoons Salted butter
1 Tablespoon minced garlic
1/4 cup white wine (Chardonay)
1/2 cup Heavy cream
1/2 cup Grated parmesan cheese
Salt & Black Pepper to taste
Optional Garnish: Chopped parsley & Chili flakes
1. Add oil to a pan on medium heat.
2. Season the shrimp with salt and black pepper. Make sure to get both sides.
3. When the oil is hot, carefully add the shrimp. Cook each side for 2 minutes. When they’re done remove and reserve.
4. Discard any excess oil. Turn the heat down to medium low. Add the butter and let it melt.
5. Next add minced garlic. Fry until its fragrant or turns a light blonde color (about 1-2 minutes).
6. After that add the wine and let it reduce.
7. When the wine is almost dry combine the heavy cream, parmesan cheese and continue to reduce.
8. When the sauce is at your desired consisgtency season with salt to taste.
9. Finish with the chopped parsley and the cooked shrimp from earlier.
10. Serve hot with more chopped parsley and red pepper flakes.
Better Than Take Out Shrimp and Broccoli Recipe
Shrimp and broccoli recipe
2 crowns broccoli
1 pound shrimp (season with a low sodium or unsalted seasoning)
1/2 peppers chopped
2 shallots chopped
6 garlic cloves chopped
Sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp hot honey
2 tbsp ginger paste
3 tbsp hoisin sauce - “oyster sauce” is preferred if you are able to find it ????use it
3 tbsp water (if at any point your sauce is too thick or got too thick too fast, you can add more water small amounts at a time until u get the consistency you want)
Salt and pepper to taste if needed
