LEARN HOW TO MAKE AN EASY COLD CHILI OIL NOODLE SALAD RECIPE AT HOME!
LAY HO MA! Everything tastes better with chili oil doesn't it? When the weather is super hot, it's time to make this super tasty cold noodle salad! Join me in this episode and learn how to make an easy cold chili oil noodle salad recipe in the comfort of your own home! Let's begin
SALAD INGREDIENTS:
80g cucumber
1/4 fuji apple
15g cilantro
8g fresh basil
1/4lb flat rice noodles
2 tbsp peanuts
1 tbsp white sesame seeds
DRESSING INGREDIENTS:
splash of toasted sesame oil
splash of black rice vinegar
2 tbsp soy sauce
1-2 tbsp chili oil (
Directions:
1. Bring a pot of water to boil for the noodles
2. Make the dressing by combining the dressing ingredients together
3. Slice the cucumber and apple into matchsticks
4. Chop the cilantro and tear the basil
5. Boil the noodles to package instructions stirring occasionally to keep them from sticking
6. Strain out the noodles and rinse in cold water
7. Plate the noodles and assemble the salad with the veggies and herbs
8. Heat up a frying pan to medium heat. Toast the peanuts for a few minutes. Then, turn the heat off and add the white sesame seeds. Give it a good toss
9. Top the salad with the peanuts and sesame seeds. Pour over the chili oil dressing and serve

INGREDIENTS
4 Tbsp (70 g) sesame paste
4 Tbsp (70 g) creamy peanut butter
2 Tbsp soy sauce (30 ml)
2 tsp rice vinegar
1 clove of garlic grated
1 tsp grated fresh ginger
1/2 tsp Korean red chili powder
1/2 cup (125 ml) water
14 oz fresh egg noddles
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a bowl combine sesame paste, creamy peanut butter, soy sauce, rice vinegar, Korean red chili powder, grated garlic, grated ginger, water and mix until well combined
- Bring 4 to 5 quarts of water to a rolling boil, add fresh egg noodles and cook for 2 to 3 minutes
- Drain cooked pasta and rinse in cold water
- To serve you can pour the sauce over all the cooked pasta, combine well and garnish with julienned fresh cucumber
- This recipe can serve up to 3 servings

Ingredients:
4 pieces garlic
small piece ginger
5 sticks green onion
1 tbsp doubanjiang
1/2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp dark soy sauce
1 tsp black vinegar
splash toasted sesame oil
1/2 tbsp maple syrup
1/4 cup peanuts
1 tsp white sesame seeds
140g dry ramen noodles
2 tbsp avocado oil
1 tsp gochugaru
1 tsp crushed chili flakes
Directions:
1. Bring some water to boil for the noodles
2. Finely chop the garlic and ginger. Finely chop the green onions keeping the white and green parts separate
3. Make the stir fry sauce by combining together the doubanjiang, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, black vinegar, toasted sesame oil, and maple syrup
4. Heat up a nonstick pan to medium heat. Add the peanuts and white sesame seeds. Toast for 2-3min, then set aside
5. Boil the noodles for half the time to package instruction (in this case 2min). Gently loosen the noodles with chopsticks
6. Place the pan back to medium heat. Add the avocado oil followed by the garlic, ginger, and the white parts from the green onions. Sauté for about 1min
7. Add the gochugaru and crushed chili flakes. Sauté for another minute
8. Strain out the noodles and add to the pan followed by the stir fry sauce. Add the green onions, toasted peanuts, and sesame seeds but save some for garnish
9. Sauté for a couple of minutes, then plate the noodles. Garnish with the remaining peanuts, sesame seeds, and green onion
