French Toast Recipe List 6 slices of Texas sliced bread 3 eggs, beaten 1 cup eggnog 1 teaspoon nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger (optional) 1/4 teaspoon ground star anise (optional) 1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla extract
French Toast Directions In a mixing bowl whisk together eggnog, eggs, spices and vanilla extract until well blended. Dip bread slices into egg custard one at a time. Transfer to a buttered griddle or nonstick pan and cook until the bottom is golden. About 2-3 minutes on each side.
Rum Sauce Recipe List 5 tablespoons butter, unsalted 3/4 cup heavy cream 1/2 cup brown sugar pinch salt 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional) 2 tablespoons rum extract
Rum Sauce Directions In a small saucepan, melt butter. Add brown sugar, heavy cream, salt and lemon juice. Stir until smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat and add the rum extract. Serve with the french toast as a syrup or dip.

1 Loaf Thomas Cinnamon Raisin Swirl Bread 8 Eggs 1.5 C Milk 1/2 C Brown Sugar 1/4 Tsp salt
-Preheat the oven to 350F -Grease a 13x9 baking dish -Place the bread in the baking dish overlapping slightly -Whisk together the eggs, milk, brown sugar and salt -Pour the egg mixture over the bread and let the bread soak for at least an hour. -Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil -Bake covered for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 25 minutes -Serve warm topped with sweetened mascarpone (see below) & syrup
Sweetened Mascarpone -8 oz Mascarpone at room temperature -1.5 Tbsp powder sugar
