Super Easy Pecan Bars That Are Better Than Pecan Pie

Crust
2 Sticks Butter (224g) Browned
100g Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/2 - 1 tsp Salt (depending on your saltiness preferences)
270g All Purpose Flour
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1 Stick Butter (112g)
100g Brown Sugar
120g Maple Syrup
30g Heavy Cream
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Salt
2 Eggs
300g Chopped Pecans
Brown the butter and let it cool for 10-15 minutes, mix in the other ingredients and spread out evenly onto a 9x13 deep baking tray. Bake at 350°F for 15-20 minutes depending on how crunchy you want the crust.
For the filling, melt the butter and add the brown sugar, maple syrup and cream and bring to a boil. Meanwhile whisk up your eggs. We have to temper the eggs, this means you're going to ladle in some of the hot mixture into the eggs while whisking. This is going to slowly bring up the temperature so that they seamlessly mix into the mixture and don't end up as scrambled eggs. After you ladle in about 1/2c of the hot mixture into the eggs, you can add the egg mixture back into the main mixture. At this point just throw the pecans in (chopped however big or small you want) and pour the filling over the crust. Bake at 350°F for 30-35 minutes, cool for an hour or two, slice into bars and enjoy!

RECIPE
Crust:
1/2 cup vegan margarine, at room temperature
1/3 cup organic sugar
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
Filling:
1 cup organic brown sugar
1/4 cup non-dairy milk
1/4 cup vegan margarine, at room temperature
3 Tbsp. corn starch
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups pecans, chopped
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. To a bowl, add ½ cup vegan margarine, and sugar. Stir until well combined. Add flour, and salt. Stir well---the mixture should clump together, but will still be crumbly. Dump, and press firmly into an 8x8-inch baking pan, greased, and lined with parchment paper. Bake the crust for ten minutes. While the crust is baking, to a bowl, add brown sugar, non-dairy milk, ¼ cup vegan margarine, corn starch, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir well. Add pecans, and stir in. Once the crust has baked for ten minutes, pour the filling over it, and spread smooth. Bake 28-30 more minutes. Let completely cool before slicing into 16 squares (the filling will set as it cools).

Ingredients:
85 g rolled oats(~1 cup)
fry for few minutes at medium heat
60 g walnuts(2.11 oz)
roast walnuts for few minutes at medium heat
80 g pitted dates(2.82 oz)
75 g dark chocolate(2.65 oz)
refrigerate for 15 minutes
