My 4th of July goodies playlist:
Red layers:
4 boxes red jello (strawberry, raspberry or cherry)
1 envelope unflavoured gelatin (1/4 oz)
4 cups boiling water
Blend together and stir until gelatin dissolved.
Blue layer:
3 packs blue jello
1 envelope unflavoured gelatin (1/4 oz)
3 cups boiling water
Blend together and stir until gelatin dissolved.
White layer:
1/2 cold water
2 envelopes unflavoured gelatin ( 1/4 oz each)
1 1/2 cup boiling water
1 can sweetened condensed milk (10z or 300ml)
Combine 1/2 cup cold water with two envelopes gelatin.
Stir and allow to sit for 2 minutes.
Add 1/2 cup boiling water and stir until gelatin is dissolved.
Set aside
Combine the sweetened condensed milk with 1 cup boiling water and stir until combined. Add in the first gelatin mixture to the milk mixture and stir.
Pour blue mixture into the bottom of a very very lightly greased 9x13 pan.
Allow to set completely, this will take 40 minutes or so.
Cut the blue jello with a sharp knife into 1 inch strips starting from the short side. Remove every other strip leaving a bunch of blue stripes going across the short side of the pan.
Pour 3 tbsp of the red mixture into each of the blank spaces in the pan between the blue stripes.
Allow to set completely in refrigerator (until your fingers no longe leave fingerprints in the jello when you touch it). This will take about 20-30 minutes.
Pour 3 tbsp of the white mixture over the red stripes and allow to chill until set.
The mixture between the blue stripes should be flush with the tops of them, if it isn't add more white or a thin layer of red and allow to set.
Pour 1 1/4 cups of red mixture over the entire surface of the set jello. Allow to set.
Pour 1 1/4 cups of white mixture over the red, allow to set.
Continue alternating red and white layers until all mixtures used up.
Allow the completed pan to refrigerate for at least an hour or so.
Slice as per video instructions.
**your unused mixtures may start to set while you are waiting for the layers in the fridge. You can put your containers in a hot water bath to keep them liquified.

Patriotic Jell-O Poke Cake ????????
This cake is ALWAYS a hit! My aunt used to make it at Christmas with red & green jello flavoring. The Jell-O gives the cake such good flavor & keeps it from drying out. A few tips & recipe below ????????
RECIPE:
-1 box white cake mix (make as your normally would)
-1 3oz box strawberry Jell-O mix
-1 3oz box berry blue Jell-O mix
-Cool Whip and desired toppings
•Make cake that you normally would and let us cool completely!
• Mix each box of Jell-O according to directions BUT, do not put in the fridge. We don't want it to set up!
•Poke holes in your cake (preferably in a neat-ish row to help with alternating colors)
•Fill a dropper (I use a kid's medicine dropper) and alternate colors by row (I.e. 1 red row then 1 blue). If you don't alternate, your colors could mix and you'll get a purple cake! ???? (you SHOULD NOT use all of the Jell-O mixture. Less than half)
* Chill at least 2 hours. Top with cool whip and other toppings right before you serve!
???? Tips :
• You can make this just with 1 Jell-O flavor. If you just wanted to use red or just blue - that works! If that's the case, then you can poke your holes with a fork and more haphazardly.
-You will have extra Jell-O mixture. Don't pour it all in the cake or it absorbs everything and you won't get the marble effect - but a purple cake! You can chill the leftover Jell-O mixture to make Jell-O cups .
-I usually top with sprinkles, but you use strawberries and blueberries to make a festive flag on top of you wanted.
- Keep the cake refrigerated!
Let me know if you have questions!

Looking for a great idea for a Fourth of July Jello Cakeof July dessert? How about a themed jello cake for independence day!
Ingredients:
Blue Layer
• 2 boxes berry blue Jello
• 1 1/2 cups boiling water
• 2 envelopes plain gelatin
• 1 cup water
Red Layer
• 2 boxes raspberry, strawberry or cherry Jello
• 1 1/2 cups boiling water
• 2 envelopes plain gelatin
• 1 cup water
White Layer (one layer; double for second)
• 1 1/2 cups water
• 6 envelopes plain gelatin
• 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
• 1/4 cup cream
Procedure:
1. Prepare first white layer. Add boiling water to gelatin in a medium sized bowl. Stir until gelatin is dissolved. Add condensed milk and cream and mix in. Pour into greased 8x8 pan and allow to set 4-6 hours.
2. Once solid, cut out star shapes. Place stars into greased bundt pan.
3. Prepare blue layer by adding boiling water to gelatin and jello. Stir until dissolved. Add cold water.
4. Pour 1/2 cup of blue jello to the bundt pan, ensuring that the stars are NOT covered (they may float if you don't). Place in fridge to set 15-20 minutes. Add remain blue layer once set, and return to fridge.
5. Prepare white layer, repeating steps from before, but pouring white layer onto the blue layer once it is set. Return to fridge.
6. Prepare red layer and pour on top of white layer, once it is set. Return to fridge.
7. Allow cake to set overnight in the fridge.
8. To remove, gently pull the Jello from the sides of the pan and it will release. Place plate on top of bundt pan, and flip plate and pan upside down. Jello cake should release once upside down.
9. Slice and serve when desired. The cake is best consumed within 2-3 days, and should be kept in the fridge, in a sealed container, or wrapped in plastic wrap.

As always, we've got everything you need for this recipe, and more, in store! We'll see ya at Webster's where we've been WOWing since 97!
Patriotic Poke Cake
Ingredients:
1 box of white cake mix (Aisle 6)
8 TBSP (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted (Dairy)
3 large eggs (Dairy)
2 tsp. vanilla extract (Aisle 6)
1 cup whole milk (Dairy)
1 (3 ounce) box red gelatin dessert, such as strawberry, raspberry, or cherry flavor (Aisle 6)
1 (3 ounce) box blue gelatin dessert, such as berry blue flavor (Aisle 6)
2 cups boiling water, divided
2 cups cool water, divided
1 large (or 2 regular) tubs whipped topping, thawed (Frozen)
Fresh berries, for garnish (Produce)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray two 8-inch round cake pans with baking spray and set aside. In a large mixing bowl add the white cake mix, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk. Whisk well to combine (there may be a few lumps in the batter, that’s ok!). Bake cakes in preheated oven for 26 – 32 minutes, or until golden brown and edges of the cake begin to pull away from the pan.
Remove and place cakes on wire rack for 20 minutes.
While the cakes cool, prepare the gelatin dessert: add the red gelatin to a large measuring cup and pour 1 cup of boiling water over the top. Whisk well until gelatin has totally dissolved. Pour in 1 cup of cool water. Repeat the process with the blue gelatin dessert.
Once the cakes have cooled, use a chopstick, wooden skewer, or meat thermometer to puncture small holes all over the cake. Pour one flavor of gelatin into each baked cake to create one red and one blue layer.
Cover and refrigerate cakes for at least 4 hours.
Run a butterknife along the edge of the chilled cakes to loosen them from the pans before turning them out onto a work surface.
Place the blue cake layer flat side down on a serving platter. If necessary, cut off any domed top to create a level surface. Discard cake scraps. Top this first layer of cake with a few scoops of whipped topping, spreading it out to the edges of the cake. Add the red cake layer on top, pressing gently to ensure the cake is level.
Cover the rest of the cake in whipped topping and garnish with fresh berries before serving.
*Cake should be stored in refrigerator until ready to serve and is best enjoyed the day it’s made.
