How To make Party Date Bars
FILLING:
2 c Pitted dates
1/2 c Sugar
1 Orange; grated peel
1/4 c Orange juice
1/2 c Chopped nutmeats
CRUMB BASE:
1 c Sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 ts Soda
1/2 ts Salt
1 c Quaker Oats, uncooked
-- (quick or old-fashioned) 1 c Brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c Butter or margarine; melted
For filling, combine dates, sugar, orange peel and orange juice in medium-sized saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally until thickened. Cool. Stir in nutmeats. For base, sift together flour, soda and salt. Add oats and sugar; mix well. Stir in butter; mix until crumbly. Firmly press 2/3 of mixture into greased 8-inch square baking pan. Spread filling evenly over crumb base. Top with remaining crumb mixture; pack lightly. Bake in preheated moderate oven (350 F.) 30 to 35 minutes. Cool; cut in bars. Dates 200(remove dates seeds and measure)
Ghee 1 tbs
Water 1/2 cup

Rose essence 1/4 tsp
(Can add any dry fruits/nuts of your choice)

Butter 75
Egg 1
Flour 250
Baking powder 1tsp

If it is too tight can add 2 tbs milk
It depends on egg size
We didn’t add milk for knead the dough
2:52 Divide the dough into 2 equal parts
2:59 Spread the dough in a parchment paper
3:09 Cut according to pan
8x8tray works well
3:16 Spread dates mixture evenly
3:24 Roll other part of the dough over a parchment paper and slowly transfer it to the tray

Cut pieces according to your choice(this will help for even baking and after baking can cut pieces through this marks)
3:40 Apply egg yolk
3:52 Bake 180°c/ 350° f
For 30-40 minutes
3:55 After baking let it cool for 10 minutes
3:56 Cut pieces through cut marks
