1 c Oats 1/2 ts Salt 2 c Water 1 c Dates (pitted and halved) Bring water to a boil. Add salt. Add rolled oats slowly. Cook over low flame in a double boiler. Cook 45 minutes. When done, add the dates. Mix thoroughly. Serve with cream and sugar.

Ingredients: 2 Cups quick oatmeal ½ cup all purpose flour 2 ½ Tablespoons vegetable oil 2 ½ Tablespoons Maple Syrup 1/4 Teaspoon salt 1/4 Teaspoon Baking powder 3/4 Cup water 200g Date paste
Instructions
Finly ground the instant (quick) oats in a food processor. Place in a medium bowl. Add flour, salt, baking powder, maple syrup and vegetable oil. Mix all together, then add water gradually so you can control the consistency of the dough. Take a small ball of date paste, and a medium ball of the oatmeal dough. Fill the dough with date paste, close firmly and flatten with your hands palm. Repeat. Place cookies in a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Bake in preheated oven 180°C/ 365°F for 7 minutes or until light golden edges. Cool down before serving. Enjoy!
