Nectarine is a variety of smooth-skinned peach. It grows in the peach Prunus Persica var. nucipersica, or apple of Persia.
Origins
The name nectarine means etymologically: sweet nectar. The Prunus Persica or peach, at the origin of the nectarine, appeared in the north of China 3000 years ago and was introduced in the West, through Persia and the Silk Road, by Alexander the Great. They are mutations that occurred during the 16th century that have attributed specific characteristics to the different fruits that grow in this tree. From the 17th century, different varieties were cultivated in England and Spain, from where they emigrated to America in 1722.
Characteristics
Nectarine is a variety of peaches whose core does not adhere to the pulp. It is distinguished from the peach by its smooth and shiny skin that has an orange color that turns towards the red. Its pulp can be yellow. It has a very marked and slightly acidic sweet flavor. The pulp can also be white, and in this case the fruit has a more subtle flavor. It is used fresh, juiced or preserved.
Nectarine is not the result of a cross between peach and plum. It is simply a natural mutation of the Persian apple.
Production
There are currently 1,500 varieties of Prunus Persica in the world. The total annual production of peaches and nectarines is currently 21 million tons. China harvests more than half, which puts it ahead of the producing countries, far ahead of Italy, which harvests 1.6 million tons, and Spain, 1.1 million tons. France, with an annual harvest of 240,000 tons, is the 4th largest producer of peaches and nectarines in Europe. In our country, each person consumes 1.2 kg per year.

As you can see, nectarines boast plenty of copper, potassium, and vitamins B3 and C.
In particular, vitamin C may support immune health by boosting the output of white blood cells called phagocytes and lymphocytes, which safeguard your body against infection.
In fact, a recent study in 800 adults with COVID-19 showed that taking 16, 200-mg doses of vitamin C decreased both ventilator dependence and death rates. Other research also suggests reduced hospital stays and lower symptom severity.
Nectarines also contain small amounts of vitamin A, lutein, zeaxanthin, manganese, zinc, iron, magnesium, and phosphorous.

Nectar Piersici albe de Toamna cu Morcov. Atat de parfumat, ca nici nu-ti vine sa crezi!Am facut un nectar pentru iarna nemaipomenit. Un nectar de Pirsici, foarte parfumat, foarte fin in care am pus si putin morcov.
Mai mult decat atat cantitatea de zahar este una foarte mica, ceea ce ai putea zice ca e, un nectar fara zahar, sau mai bine spus un, nectar de piersici fara zahar.
Ingredientele pentru, nectar de piersici il gasesti jos in descriere, iar pasii retetei in video.

Ingrediente:
- 8 kg de piersici;
- 1 kg de morcov;
- aprox. 300 gr de zahar;
- 1 lamaie;
- 3 litri de apa;
Sticlutele sunt sterilizate si sunt fierbinti (130-140gr C). Au stat la cuptor la 170 grade C., circa 20 minute. Compozitia se pune fierbinte in sticlutele fierbinti. Se pune capacul si se verifica etanseitatea (vezi video), apoi se pun sub patura pentru a se raci treptat.
