✨Ginger Molasses Cookie Recipe✨
INGREDIENTS
•2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
•2 tsp baking soda
•1/2 tsp salt
•1 1/2 tsp ground ginger
•1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
•1/2 tsp ground cloves
•3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
•1 cup packed brown sugar
•1 large egg
•1/4 cup molasses
•1 tsp vanilla extract
•1/3 cup granulated sugar (for rolling)
INSTRUCTIONS
•Preheat your oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
•In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves.
•In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg, molasses, and vanilla extract, mixing well.
•Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
•Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. •This helps prevent the cookies from spreading too much during baking.
•Shape the dough into tablespoon-sized balls, roll each ball in granulated sugar, and place them on the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
•Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft. The cookies will continue to firm up as they cool.
•Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
