How To make Lemon Thyme Pesto
2/3 c Packed stemmed fresh parsley
1/4 c Pine nuts
1 tb Ground dried thyme
1 tb Grated lemon peel
1 tb Fresh lemon juice
1/4 c Olive oil (or more)
In processor, blend first 5 ingredients until almost smooth. With machine running, gradually add 1/4 cup oil and process until smooth. If pesto is dry, mix in more oil by spoonfuls. Season to taste with salt and pepper. (Can be made ahead. Press plastic wrap onto surface of pesto. Cover and refrigerate up to 2 days or freeze up to 1 week. Bring to room temperature before using.)

Another guest appearance from Sari. With all the fresh basil and other herbs we had growing in our little garden, we decided to make a nice fresh pesto.
3 cloves garlic
1/3 cup walnuts (can also use pine nuts)
~2 cups of fresh basil
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
Fresh Oregano and Lemon Thyme (optional)
2/3 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese
Combine ingredients in a food processor and blend together. Serve over top your favourite pasta.

Pesto is a sauce typically made with basil, pine nuts, olive oil, and grated Parmesan blended together. In this video I'm gonna share you how to make pesto from scratch using arugula instead of basil leaves.
Arugula pesto is one my my fav pesto sauce, because it's also very healthy, and it has a peppery and slightly spicy taste that works perfectly for pasta, fish, meat or even pizza sauce.
This is what I call perfect pesto sauce because I'm gonna show you how to achieve the bright green pesto that works everytime!
You can also make this pesto sauce with pestle and mortar :) Easy!
How to make easy pesto sauce, you'll need :
100 gr arugula
2 garlic cloves
40 gr toasted almond flakes
80 gr parmesan
salt
80 ml olive oil (add more if needed)
