How To make Lemon Pepper Barbecued Chicken

-legs with thighs Lemon-Pepper Barbecue Sauce: 1/4 c Chopped onion
1 1/2 ts Vegetable oil
1 Clove garlic, crushed
8 oz Tomato sauce
1 tb Brown sugar
1 t Dried basil
1 t Dry mustard
1/4 ts Paprika
1/4 ts Coarse ground black pepper
1/8 ts Cayenne pepper
1/8 ts Ground allspice
1 Lemon, grated zest only
2 tb Lemon juice
1 tb Cider vinegar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Strip skin from chicken and discard. Trim off fat. Coat each piece of chicken with about 2 tablespoons Lemon-Pepper Barbecue Sauce. Arrange in single layer in baking pan. Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until juices run clear when thickest part is pierced. Per serving (chicken breast): 171 calories, 27 grams protein, 5 grams carbohydrate, 4 grams fat, 73 milligrams cholesterol, 235 milligrams sodium. Per serving (chicken leg and attached thigh): 336 calories, 40 grams protein, 7 grams carbohydrate, 16 grams fat, 138 milligrams cholesterol, 476 milligrams sodium. LEMON-PEPPER BARBECUE SAUCE Makes 1 cup (Enough to cover 8 chicken pieces) Use this as a basting sauce and/or marinade for skinless chicken pieces or for lean pork roasts and chops. Lemon Pepper Barbecue Sauce In small heavy saucepan over medium heat, cook onion in oil until softened, stirring often. Stir in garlic and cook a minute longer. Stir in tomato sauce, brown sugar, basil, mustard, paprika, black and cayenne peppers, allspice, lemon zest, lemon juice and vinegar. Bring to a simmer over lowest heat setting and cook, covered, 15 minutes. Cool to room temperature for use right away, or refrigerate in glass or plastic container for up to 2 weeks.
Per 2-tablespoon serving: 29 calories, 1 gram protein, 5 gram carbohydrate, 1 grams fat, 0 cholesterol, 172

Grilled Lemon Pepper Chicken (Low Carb Chicken Recipe) | I Heart Recipes
Hey friends! My Low Carb Lemon Pepper Chicken is light and bursting with flavor! Grill it for an amazing summer meal.
I love to grill, y’all! Especially since getting my Napoleon Prestige 500 aka Big Daddy. This Lemon Pepper Chicken grills so nicely, and there is no flour or sauce added to this recipe for those that are watching their carbs. This dish can be whipped up fairly quickly, in less than an hour. Let’s get grilling!
This recipe is super easy. Place the chicken in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice. Sprinkle with onion powder, garlic powder and lemon pepper. Coat all surfaces of the chicken well. Throw those bad boys on the grill and cook for about 45 to 50 minutes. Be sure to flip the chicken every 10 minutes or so. The result is tender, juicy chicken that is so tasty. Your guests will thank you!

Today I'm going to making an easy and quick Lemon Pepper Chicken with Caramelized onions. This is a great chicken recipe for dinner or meal prepping since it cooks quickly and has very simple but tasty ingredients. All you do is season the chicken with kosher salt and black pepper. You then sear the chicken and add butter, fresh thyme or rosemary, and garlic. In the end, I make caramelized onions, which really brings the dish together. Lemon Pepper Chicken Recipe:
2 Free-range Chicken Breasts

2 tbsp Butter

Tasty Grilled Chicken Recipe | Grilled Chicken Recipe | How to Make Grilled chicken | Glazed Chicken Recipe | Chicken Tenders Recipe | Grilled Chicken Recipe Healthy | Honey Glazed Chicken Recipe
Ingredients:
- Chicken fillets - 4 nos. (weighing around 100 gms each)
- Salt- 1 tsp
- Crushed Pepper- 1.5 tsp
- Honey- 3 tsp
- Soy sauce - 1 tsp
- Butter - 2 dollops/ tsp
- Olive Oil- 3 tsp (preferable but can also use refined white oil)
- Crushed whole garlic with skin- 6 big pods
Preparation:
- Keep the chicken fillets in a mixing bowl.
- Sprinkle salt & crushed pepper evenly. Pour the olive oil over it & add the crushed garlic.
- Mix everything well to coat evenly. (Alternatively you can add garlic powder or finely chopped garlic too.)
- Set aside for around 30 mins.
- To prepare the honey-soy glaze, mix 1 tsp of soy sauce & 3 tsp of honey in a bowl. Mix well & keep aside for glaze to be used later.
- For boiling vegetables, take a saucepan & boil water. Once it comes to a boil, add salt, mix well & add all the vegetables. Boil the vegetables on high for around 5 mins. Should still be little crunchy.
- Strain & wash it with cold water to retain the color & stop the cooking.
Process:
- Take a grill pan & add a dollop (1 tsp) of butter. Spread it evenly.
- Once hot, add the chicken fillets one beside the other. Grill on high heat for around 3 mins.
- Turn them on the other side & continue to grill for 3 more mins. on the other side.
- Lower heat to medium & keep pressing the chicken pieces with the spatula for the chicken to cook & get the grill marks.
- Turn it on the other side & repeat.
- Check if the chicken is cooked.
- Now take a basting brush & brush the chicken pieces with the honey-soy glaze.Turn the fillets on the other side.
- Again brush the other side with the honey-soy glaze & turn it over. The color should be evenly browned.
- Grill both sides for 1 min each or less. Take care that the honey-soy glaze does not burn.
- Remove onto a plate.
- To sauté the vegetables, take another pan & add a dollop/tsp of butter. Spread it and once hot add the boiled vegetables. Sauté on high for 2 mins, sprinkle some salt & crushed pepper. Mix & sauté for 2 mins.
- Serve the grilled chicken with a side of the veggies.

Today I’m sharing my easy lemon pepper chicken recipe! This was the first chicken recipe I tried to make when I started cooking. It was so delicious that I would cook it at least thrice a week! This juicy and tasty chicken recipe does not need fancy ingredients and is beginner friendly. Once you try it, you'll cook it almost every day. So simple to make that everyone can make it. *RECIPE* (2 servings)
INGREDIENTS
1 lb/450g chicken thighs/chicken breasts
3 tbsp olive oil
3 garlic cloves
Optional: fresh parsley and lemon zest
— marinade —
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp crushed black pepper
1 tsp oregano/mixed herbs
1/2 tsp cumin powder
Juice 1/2 lemon
METHOD:
1. Cut 1 lb/450g chicken thighs or chicken breasts into bite sized pieces about 1 inch thick
2. Add the marinade ingredients to the chicken, mix well and set aside for 30 minutes to 1 hour
3. On medium flame, heat 3 tbsp olive oil and infuse 3 crushed garlic cloves
4. Add the chicken without overcrowding the pan. This way they will brown well
5. Sear on all sides until browned and cooked through. Chicken thighs will be ready in 5-6 mins and chicken breasts in 3-4 mins
6. Optional: Garnish with some fresh parsley and lemon zest

SUBSTITUTES:
• No lemons?
1 tbsp lime juice can be substituted. Avoid lime zest however
• No cumin powder?
Skip it
• No oregano or mixed herbs?
Dried thyme, rosemary, tarragon, sage, mint and dill work well too
• No fresh parsley?
Fresh cilantro/coriander works well too

TIPS:
• The chicken can be chopped and tossed into salad, sandwiches, wraps and pasta
• Don’t overcook the chicken or it will get too tough
• The salt and lemon quantity might change depending on taste. The amounts mentioned will be suitable for most but adjust at the end if needed
