½ C evaporated milk 1/2 cup white sugar 1/2C unsalted butter 1 tsp. vanilla
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. In a large bowl combine white sugar, flour, baking soda, and salt. Whisk. Add eggs, crushed pineapples with juice and mix until smooth. Pour batter into the baking dish.
Sprinkle the dough with chopped pecans and top with brown sugar, put into the oven. EDIT: I added coconut to my recipe, but it is not in the original recipe. About s 1/2 C and mixed it in once in the pan :)
Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. PLS check at 30 minutes! For the icing, mix the evaporated milk, white sugar, and butter in a saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil. Pour it over the cake that has just come out of the oven. Poke holes to let the icing soak into the cake. Cool completely before cutting or serving warm, it’s great either way! Enjoy Friends ????

We all have our favorite dishes that we remember our grandmothers making. For many people in France one of these happy dishes is the granny cake or gâteaux de mamie as it is known there. This comforting lemon cake has a twist on the ingredients that makes it rich, light, and a wonderful treat for teatime, special occasions, or really any time you're craving something sweet and special to eat.
